To say that Makentos was surprised as four Ha'taks blew up under the Long Range Suspension Barrage, was to say that the suns surface was a wee bit warm or that Bill Gates had a few millions.
"SHIELDS!" he screamed, but before his First Prime could bring up the shields, four bolts from the Roosevelts plasma turrets reduced his ships firepower by half.
The whole ship shook as the 3000 MJ bolts slammed into the gun placements, taking out whole chunks of the Aph'taks superstructure.
"We are under long range fire from four unknown ships, my lord," screamed Melof and turned back to the ships controls.
The ships shook again as more bolts from the Roosevelt and the other Liberty ships slammed into the Aph'taks shields.
"Destroy them," was Makentos answer.
"Yes, my lord," said Melof said and ordered all Al'kesh and Death Glider, even those who were ordered to attack Earth to go after the Liberty fleet.

Captain Miller's eyes narrowed as he saw that the pyramids had activated some sort of energy shields. The Suspension Barrage lost its power to the shields, even if they had destroyed four ships outright and two others by the damage done to them during the first salve. At it was the shields of the pyramids, now moving closer to his ships, were strong enough to withstand the Long Range Suspension Barrage. His mind raced. How could his ships break through the shields of those ships?
Than he remembered something he never really thought he would remember at all. As a kid he had read an old pulp magazine and there all ships had been shielded.
"Synchronize all firing solutions with the other ships. We're going for a Pin Point Barrage and try to break their shields by overloading it at one single point."
There was only a short nod as his crew went to work and the weapons computers began to work on the firing solutions for the Pin Point Barrage.

Between Makentos and Libertys fleets, Earth Moon gravitational system
Nine Squadrons of VF-6 Alpha and eighteen Squadrons VF-4 Vindicator Veritechs streaked towards the enemies, all lined up in neat formations.
"Distance 1000 klicks," one of the pilots said.
"Okay than. Scorpions, lets get them outa the sky. Scorpion One, Fox Two."
Messenges of 'Fox Two' came from every pilot in the twenty-seven Liberty squadrons and more than 430 space-to-space missiles streaked towards the Death Gliders. For a few moments all eyes followed the firey streaks of the missiles before their warheads blossomed like flowers of death in the rows of Death Gliders and Al'kesh.
"Scorpion One, Fox Two."
The whole thing happened again, destroying even more of Makentos fighters and Al'kesh.
"Scorpion One to all squadrons, break up and clean up the rest."

The maneuver of using Long Range Pin Point Barrages proved to be very successful. The power of the Ikazuchis, Tristars and Battles long range weapons still needed some time to burn through the pyramids shields, but in the end the remaining ships fell one by one, detonating in large fireballs, spraying derbis into all directions.
As the last of Makentos Ha'taks blew up in a spectacular display of raw destruction, Makentos choose to do the right thing and his Aph'tak disappeared in hyperspace, leaving the rests of his fighters and bombers behind. And one single Stargate that had been carried by one of his Ha'taks and would be later found by the forces of Liberty Station.
The whole fight had been on international TV, feed by multiple telescopes in the night hemisphere and a large number of people saw the pretty one sided fight between four ships from Liberty Station and twenty one ships of a minor System Lord with delusions of grandsieur.
