"A girl saw me in the nude! Now I'll never get married," murmured Furusawa, eyes glazed in shock.
Shinobu spocked an eyebrow hearing that. That wasn't how it usually went. He scratched his chin speculatively.
"My life is over. I would've graduated from high school, found a good job and a cute girlfriend, got married, and had two beautiful children, Nathaniel and Superfly. But now that's ruined! Shun-kun ruined it for me!" Furusawa said in sorrow, sniveling. Then what he just said caught up to him. "Wait... Shun-kun's a girl?"
Shinobu answered, "She is." As of two days ago, he mentally added. "I have not the liberty to say more. Shun will tell you the full story when she's ready."
Mitsuru had spent this time wrapping Shun in a thick layer of fresh, dry towels. The wrapping served the dual purpose of keeping her warm but not overheated, and hid her curves well enough to transport back to her room through an unsuspecting mob of adolescent boys.
Furusawa moped. "Shun-chan, how could you do this to me?" he mumbled. "You should've told me. Now I'm soiled goods..."
Shinobu stepped up and put a hand on Furusawa's shoulder. "Furusawa-san..." he began, "you are an idiot."
Furusawa looked up at Shinobu, tears pouring out of his eyes. "How can you say that?!" he whined, "Shin-kun broke my trust! He... she's a girl, and she peeped on me! I'm damaged goods now!"
Shinobu offered one of his patented comforting smiles. "Actually, I wanted to talk to you about that..." he began in soft, soothing, hypnotic words.
Consciousness slowly returned to Kisuragi Shun. She knew she was still in the dorm, judging from the ceiling. Said ceiling was familiar, but that didn't mean anything in a dorm with more or less identical rooms. She carefully assessed the room and determined it was hers. There were also three of her sempai in it: Shinobu, Mitsuru and Furusawa.
Furusawa, who knew her secret now.
Shun felt sick to her stomach. "Ohkamisama, the whole dorm knows, don't they..." she choked, tears gathering in her eyes. "I... I'll have to leave and go back to my family in shame, now..."
"Shhhh shh-shh-shh," Furusawa shushed Shun. "Shinobu-san and Mitsuru-kun prevented anyone from entering after I... was surprised." He coughed slightly for reasons unknown to Shun. "Don't worry. I won't say a word about your secret to anyone."
The girl who was out-of-bounds stared up at Furusawa for a second. A slightly accusatory look distorted her face. "Shinobu promised you a cut of my pot, didn't he?"
"Only ten percent!" Furusawa sputtered.
"I thought so..." Shun murmured. She turned back to Furusawa. "I'm already getting docked thirty-five for sempai keeping mum!" Shun blinked. "Which reminds me. Shinobu, you're supposed to help out with protecting my secret! You said everyone had taken their baths already, but you missed Furusawa. Your screw up, not mine! That ten percent is coming out of your cut!"
"That thrity-five percent only buys our silence, not our cooperation in keeping your secret," Shinobu pointed out calmly.
Shun narrowed her eyes. She'd be damned if she let this go unanswered. "If I'm outed, you get nothing. Worse, if I'm outed, I'll make certain everyone knows you two knew about it before the bet began!"
"I'll insist that I didn't, and that I would've returned the money had I known. Thirty-three percent."
"And who do you think they'll believe, sneaky ol' Shinobu, or cute, feminine li'l Shun-chan? Especially since I'd have been given the survivor pot?" Shun purred, then let off a soft peal of ye ol' high noblewoman laughter. (You know the type.) "Twenty-seven percent," came her counteroffer.
Uh oh. Her bitch powers are rising... thought Hermod, who was hiding underneath the desk.
Shinobu exhaled with a smiling sigh. "Fine. We shall support you fully by covering you with actions. Thirty percent."
"Done."
