Ranma slipped off his shoes in the entrance to the dojo. "Yo! I'm home!" He called into the hallway. There was no answer. He waited for a moment and shrugged, as he stepped up onto the wood floor.
He looked down at his new ring and smiled. He couldn't believe his luck! It almost seemed too good to be true. Even Ranma himself could admit that in matters not related to martial arts, he didn't particularly accel. It wasn't necessarily from a lack of intelligence, seeing as he took to fighting like a fish to water. It was really a lack of drive, more than anything else. However, with this new ring of his, Ranma was sure that he'd be able to start filling in the gaps in his intellect. Then he'd have less weak points, which could only make him a better fighter.
'See that ghoul outsmart me after wearing this!' he thought to himself, with a cocky smirk, as he walked down the entrance way. He thought maybe he could start to feel it work already, though he wondered if it was just his own imagining, his anticipation making it seem so. He didn't care though. Either way, Ranma Saotome was feeling on top of the world.
He came to the living room and slid back the door to see
