March of the Scourge. [Episode 121709]

A wonderful place, most of the time, despite all the various problems on it's surface.

A planet that has, in various times, in various universes, been the hub for many events, mystical and otherwise.

A planet now on the verge of...humanity would call it 'death', but a planet cannot truly die. Something else would rise to start a new chapter in the Book of Life. Even in the situation the world finds itself in now.

6 billion+ human beings live on this planet at this time. Many more animals, birds and the like also call this planet home.

95% of them have been not only wiped out, but turned into servants of the force known only as the Scourge.

But the question remains: How did this occur? How did the Scourge get here?

What happened to bring this planet on the verge of desolation?

• Many years have passed since the battle for The Frozen Throne. Finally, The Lich King has mastered the magic of opening portals to other worlds. The world he reaches? Earth.
• A mage from this realm opened a portal to the world of Azeroth.
• As above, but the mage had been manipulated by the Legion, who have been after a 'soft target' to replenish their forces. Lich King senses this, makes a portal to where they just left, and strikes from behind.
• Perhaps an accident involving human technology?
• Or something else entirely?
