These thoughts these feelings were new to Ranma, ever since he had arrived on this world he had felt out of his element, completely lost. Getting displaced tends to do that to a person, but he had held on and thrived. Part of it was that he had been moving all of his life, and this was familiar, if a bit unusual. But in all truth one of the things that had given him an anchorage to this world, that had kept him sane, and yet totally off balance was in his arms right now, in the form of a sniffling Lupine. She aroused so many things in him, and such intensity that he felt overwhelmed, all of his girls did it to him. This intensity was new to him, the only thing that came close was his own battles back at home, and that lacked the depth and purity that he sometimes felt just holding one of his girls.
Yet he was a fighter, born and raised. Every time he sent his girls into battle he felt incomplete, these should be his fights, yet constrained by the world he was in, he could not. And that hurt, especially since every girl he had was a piece of very soul now. That was why losing hurt so much, it wasn't him doing it for others, it was his girls doing it for him. Of course Ranma didn't, and couldn't explain it in those words. It just wasn't the way he was. But maybe if he could make his girls stronger, know what they were capable of he would be able to at least be sure to keep them from getting into another battle where they would be in over their head. And that was what gave him an idea.
Scratching lightly behind her ear to get her attention, and to get her to loosen her grip around him Ranma began, almost timidly. "I have an idea that might help, if you approve."Blinking slightly at the uncharacteristic way her tamer started his question, Jetta contained her sniffles "What is it?"
Smiling at her now Ranma continued "Well, how about we go on a quick training trip? Away from everything and everyone, that way I can see what you girls can do."
"A training trip?" Shaking herself lightly, and ignoring how just the feel of her tamer could sometimes make her melt, Jetta thought about it for a bit "I don't see why not, a pokecenter usually has a few training faculties that we can use."
Ranma chuckled "Not in here." Gesturing around the room. "Outside away from everything. That way I can treat you girls how you are supposed to be treated, and there won't be any comment."
Jetta raised an eyebrow "The only place that would be even close to being alone would be out in the middle of nowhere, and that has feral Pokegirls."
"So?" Ranma shrugged, breaking out of the embrace to grab his pack. "That makes it even better training!"
"I don't know Ranma, that sounds like a bad idea." Actually it sounded rather crazy too, but her tamer was starting to look more energetic than he had for a long time. And that was what decided her, she could at least run damage control. "But if you think we need it."
Ranma blinked, then gave a wide grin. "You girls are damn near perfect, but you know, you can always get better." Shrugging on his backpack "Besides, I need some practice too, this is something I have been missing ever since I got here. It will feel good to finally get some training in." Ignoring the slightly confused expression on his Lupine's face he grabbed her hand and pulled her through the door.
