Not to mention exceedingly stupid daughter-in-laws. And son-in-laws. Whatever.
How almost all his children could end up marrying all those losers had always been a great mystery to him.
Not that Sally had seemed to mind. Well, it was different for women, he supposed...
And now there was this annoyingly polite voice, telling him to get up. As if he wanted to be practically tied to the damn Med-Bed in the first place!
And now it was talking about Meilan. Why would his eldest daughter be here, anyway? She was supposed to be stationed at the new, rebuilt and improvised Moonbase.
Right?
"Young Master. Wake up. Please wake up."
Alright, so that was quite clearly a hallcination. "Young Master", indeed. He hadn't been the "Young Master" in decades. About seven or eight of them. More? Whatever.
"He seems to be running a fever, sir"
Well, to be sure.
Though nothing seemed to hurt. That was a improvement, he supposed.
Thank the Gods for small favors, anyway.
