"I knew this day would come," said Ranma.
"Yes. This is where I reveal my sinister plan," agreed the plushie. "Let's see. I'm supposed to do an evil and maniacal laugh here but I'm not really good at that, so can we move to the next part?"
"I think we can dispense with the evil laugh thing," allowed Ranma.
"Good," said the plushie. "Hear now my goal!"
"It isn't destroying all life on Earth is it? That's so overdone," pointed out Ranma.
"No," said the plushie, flipping a sign up. "THIS!"
"Beef bowl?" asked Ranma.
"Yes, beef bowl and ramen shops! Exactly what the universe needs," said the plushie, nodding his head and looking about as wise as a foot-tall plushie can look.
"The universe needs beef bowl?" asked Ranma, understandably skeptical.
"Look, which would you rather start your day with? Beef bowl or Rigellian blood worms?"
Ranma had to admit that there was a point in there somewhere.
"Which will be part of Earth's new Golden Age!" continued the muppet.
"A 'golden age'?" asked Ranma.
"Yes, a new age of peace and prosperity. Also nutritious, tasty, and quickly prepared foods." The muppet paced back and forth in front of the Beef Bowl placard. "There are steps necessary to get to that point of course."
"Well, we don't have any way of reaching the stars for one," pointed out Ranma.
"One thing at a time," said the plushie. "Our first step is for eavesdroppers to be shut out. Like so."
Sailor Pluto had one millisecond of realization that the muppet knew she was there before the Time Gates closed.
When they reopened it was...
A short little gnome in Buddhist priest robes looked up. "Most ominous."
