Akane's determination to carry out Tan's instructions lasted until she ran into Ranma at breakfast, then she found herself blushing uncontrollably, stammering and being asked by Kasumi, Ranma and her father if she was feeling alright. The third time Ranma tried to feel her forehead got Akane mad enough to throw the baka into the Koi Pool, after that everyone seemed satisfied that she was OK. The trip to school passed in relative silence, with only passing complaints from Ranma about being thrown into the pond, which Akane ended by threatening to throw him into the canal if he didn't shut up about it.
Focussing on classes, Akane managed to avoid thinking about the promise Tan had exacted from her for most of the day. Lunch was an exception, a visit from Ukyou to stuff Okonomiyaki down Ranma's throat (with Ranma's assistance of course), caused her to contemplate the inclusion of Ukyou in the 'group' Tan had tasked her with assembling, this led to her blushing again, which was commented on by her friends, causing Ranma to come over and try and feel her forehead again, leading to the baka being thrown into the school's swimming pool ending the gossip that had sprung up as things were clearly normal.
On the walk home, Akane considered Tan's words - two seperate comments came to her, the first was that she should develop some sort of powers, the second was that Ranma needed to be... be... be 'serviced' regularly by his 18th birthday - 3 months away. Akane took and deep breath and calmed herself, she had some time. She didn't have to rush things too much. She could take a day or two to think things over and work out a plan. Starting tonight.
Akane paced in her room, thinking things over had led Akane to make a few resolutions on the way Tan's instruction would be carried out. Firstly, Ranma had to marry her, that way she could control access to Ranma, if she tried to share on an equal basis there would be other girls endlessly butting in and people like Ukyou and Shampoo trying to convince Ranma to marry them and dump all the others. As Ranma's wife she could cut most of that out and enforce a reasonable schedule for 'servicing' Ranma. Secondly, once she was Ranma's wife she'd have him to herself for at least a week and get an idea of how many girls she would need to keep Ranma satisfied, no point in inviting everyone she knew to share Ranma only to discover that she only really needed 1 or 2 'assistants'. Tan had implied that more would be needed, but the god had been unclear about numbers, and anyway, Akane may have to share Ranma in the end, but she *WOULD* have him to herself for at least a little while.
Sitting at her desk, Akane made notes on her plans. Tan said she had until Ranma's 18th birthday - 3 months - say 12 weeks. Tan said she should develop powers to help her, but subtle powers, for a moment Akane was tempted to make everything wait until her powers manifested, but let out a sigh and rejected that idea, there was too great a chance she wouldn't notice subtle powers if she sat back and did nothing. She would welcome the powers when they appeared, but would have to make her plans without them and adjust things once she knew what she could do. OK then, working backwards, given Tan's warnings, it would be good if Ranma was... was... adequately 'serviced' before his birthday. So, weeks 8-12 would be settling in and working up Ranma's 'schedule'. Weeks 7-9 would be when Akane chose and recruited her 'assistants' (she found it made it easier to think of sharing Ranma if the others were only 'assistants'). Weeks 5 & 6 would be her honeymoon with Ranma and when she worked out how many 'assistants' would be needed in the long run. Week 4 would be her wedding, and weeks 1 to 3 would be convincing Ranma to marry her.
Shutting the notebook she had used Akane, leaned back in her chair and considered what
she had just planned out. She made a face, what she had planned... now that she had a plan,
or at least a timetable, came doing the things needed to make the plan a reality. A bump at
her door drew Akane's attention, checking it, Akane picked up P-chan and cuddled her little
pet. Lieing down on her bed, Akane held P-Chan up and let out a worried sigh:
"Ah... P-Chan, I've got 3 weeks to get Ranma to marry me. How do I go about convincing him? How do I keep the others from interfering?"
