"A..and, now I'm stuck like this, *sniff*," the purple-haired child said as another ice cream scoop was set in front of her, paid for by one of the many people about her. "I'm going to be stuck like this for the rest of my *dramatic sniff* life."
"Oh, don't worry," one of the people about her and comforting her said. "It'll be fine, you seem like a nice kid, I'm sure you'll get used to tail and such."
"I'm not talking about my tail, I love my tail" the girl said quickly, followed by a grim and rather intimidating, as well as indicative of heavy mood swings. "Don't TOUCH my tail!"
The fox-dragon girl growled for a couple of seconds and the shadows about her seemed to deepen for a moment, before she was wailing and crying again.
"Such a cute little thing like me does not deserve to bear such a hideous family curse," she sighed.
"Family curse," somebody muttered. "You mean an inherited defect."
"Yes," the girl sighed. "I should have asked to fix it the first time, but I was too embarrassed. Now I'm stuck with this chest."
"What's wrong with your chest?" someone asked. "You're going to grow up to be a very bishounen young man."
The pretense and acting in the girl's demeanor vanished swiftly as her eye started twitching. It was an effort to remember that she wasn't supposed to reveal what she was.
"That would be fine," Filia Ul Copt (the second) said tightly. "IF I WASN'T A GIRL!!!!"
