"Is only school for who no can see," Shampoo said irritably.
"It is the only local school for the blind," the principal corrected her.
"Is what I say," Shampoo said. She frowned a little more as she sensed someone joining them.
"Ah," the principal said. "Here comes your student tutor, now."
"Ohayoo gozaimasu," the easily recognizeable voice of Kodachi Kuno said as she bowed. Shampoo froze.
"Uh, Ribbon-girl Shampoo's tutor?" Shampoo asked nervously.
"We felt that you would be more comfortable with someone you knew," the principal said. "Kuno-san is also one of our finer students, so she should be able to bring you up to speed on your classes."
"But, but," Shampoo said.
"Now, I'll leave Kuno-san to guide you about the facilities," the principal said, walking off.
"I shall do so immediately Sakura-sensei," Kodachi said, bowing again. Then she turned toward Shampoo and gently reached out to grip her hand. "Please follow me, Shampoo-san. I believe it is time to meet your braile instructor."
"Heh, heh, heh," Shampoo laughed nervously. Suddenly she was very glad that Kodachi didn't know that she could "see" sort of.
"Come come," Kodachi said. "I am not going to harm you. That would be unseemly, whatever our shared past."
"Shampoo be careful anyway," Shampoo said tightly.
"Indeed," Kodachi said, and Shampoo could sense the small smile she wore. "Ah here we are. Mizu-sensei, this is Shampoo."
"Ahh, pleased to meet you," the teacher said, from among a small collection of other students. Judging by their motions, they were all blind as well. "Please sit down. Kuno-san, perhaps you could find an empty chair for her."
"Hai," Kodachi said as she "led" Shampoo to such a spot. Shampoo bridled at having to play at being so helpless, but went with the act anyway.
"Now first," the teacher said. "Let's get to know one another..." Shampoo sighed at the attitude. "Now, now, let's not be so belligerent. We shan't get anywhere that way."
"Is Shampoo," Shampoo said. "Is Amazon warrior. Would lead tribe before lose sight."
"Amazon warrior?" the teacher asked, a little doubtfully.
"She speaks the truth," Kodachi said. "Among her people she is some sort of princess or such."
"Was," Shampoo corrected. "Is not anymore. No cripple lead tribe."
"That is not how to consider yourself, Shampoo-san," the teacher said. "Kuno-san, could you get the brail sheet over here? Perhaps we should start on the skills for our friend here."
"Hai, Mizu-san," Kodachi said. It wasn't until Kodachi returned with the brail sheet and Shampoo could sense the teacher examining it, that she realized the teacher was blind as well. "Is that the correct one?"
"Yes," the teacher said. "Thank you, Kuno-san. Now, Shampoo-san, this is a sheet of braile..."
