Shinji reached for his cell phone. It was far easier to accept that he was going to risk his live and sanity piloting a giant fighting machine again than to accept that what he had been about to do with Rei had been real. Was still real and that Rei was actively working on making it as much of an reality as possible.
While he fumbled with the cell phone Rei spared a hand from her task to slap it out of his hands.
"Rei!" he protested, "you can't just do that."
"I can," she replied as short on words as ever but with enough body-language thrown in for emphasis to fill volumes.
"I want this as much as you," he tried to explain, "but we can't just indulge ourselves while an Angel is out there threatening the lives of innocent people."
Someone like Toji's sister getting hurt because Shinji was incompetent was one thing, but if people were going to get hurt because he was busy making love to Rei he would have reached a whole new low. It wasn't Rei's fault he told himself. Rei was normally so sheltered and focused on her mission, it had to be his fault somehow. He had only wanted to draw her out of her shell and now she was about to...
"No Angel!" Rei exclaimed with a grunt as she lowered herself further, "Not Scheduled! False Alarm! No Angel!"
Shinji did not truly understand what she meant with that, but now that he was presented with an excuse and with his angst-filled thoughts being less and less effective in shielding him from the sensations she was causing in him, Shinji finally gave up.
He waraped his arms around her kissed her and began to help her complete their Union.
Rei had had only little attention to spare on the conversation with Shinji. She was distantly aware of having breached security with her mention of the schedule, but she did not care. Shinji's earlier revelation that he had feelings for her had already cost her much of her detachment and control. With the new feelings that Shinji's member was causing inside of her she was fearing that she would completely loose control of herself.
When Shinji gave up his resistance and joined her it was almost to much for her. It was not just the physical sensation's of pleasure that he was causing as he was slowly sheathing himself within her, but the mental and emotional pleasure component. Shinji wanted her and thought that she was somebody special.
Rei had expected to have to lead and guide her virgin partner in every step and was surprised when he took control of their joining. That was why she had positioned herself on top of him, but Shinji now laid his hands on her hips and gently drew her the rest of the way down onto him. She had hardly processed the feeling of being fully joined when Shinji raised her up again causing a whole new set of sensations in her.
And Shinji was not satisfied with that alone he also kept her mouth occupied with his own.
Rei was loosing herself in those sensations.
Being held! Being kissed! Being penetrated! Being appreciated! Perhaps even coming as close to being loved as she could!
Her trial run had not prepared her for anything besides the mechanical component of their coupeling and even that paled with the real.
She tried to hold onto what little control she had left. Her plans of making sure that it was pleasurable for Shinji, of giving him the impressions that it was pleasurable for her, too. Her fears about making sure that she would be properly lubricated seemed to be almost humorously now.
She had underestimated Shinji's capabilities.
As she rode up and down his manhood she realized that she perhaps would not even have to fake an orgasm. In fact it seemed that with the ever increasing pleasure she was feeling that she would achieve her climax before he would.
Rei tried to fight; against the pleasure, against her feelings and for control. She was loosing.
When Shinji leaned back from their kiss and took one hand from her hips to play with her breasts Rei was already only holding on for dear life and her only objective was to continue their rhythm forever. The added pleasure of having her breasts stimulated was to much. Even with Shinjis's unpracticed gropings he quickly managed to send her over the edge. Distantly she could hear the echo of screams that might have been her own.
When the haze of pleasure slightly receded to allow Rei to perceive her surroundings once again she found that she now was on her back and that Shinji was still working himself in and out of her.
He was smiling at him and gave her nonsensical grunts of endearment and encouragement. His hands were still on her breasts and he was rapidly gaining in expertise in the manipulation of them and the rest of her body.
Rei had a brief insight that it must be his unusual empathy that let him recognize what was good for her and the same skill that made him such a good pilot that allowed him to learn that fast. She was aiding his learning process with vocal feedback about the various levels of pleasures that certain moves produced.
But soon after that revelation she was again reduced to merely shouting out in pleasure because she was feeling pleasure and incapable of further analyzations or rationalizations.
Some time later Gendo was still waiting on the bridge for the arrival of the pilots. The bridge crew was starting to panic. First there was this totally unscheduled drill and then they could not make any contact with the pilots. Gendo new things that others did not and if he decided to call a drill out of the blue just as they encountered communication problems something might be going on.
Gendo had had Maja check several times that yes, the call was going out and the pilots cell phones were active in the general area of Rei's apartment and receiving the call. But for some reason they were not answering.
A Security team had been dispatched and bogged down in the traffic. Apperently news of NERV's unusual drill had gotten out and many people had decided to leave the city.
NERV agnets showing of their ID's and telling people that they had to get somewhere immediately was somehow not getting anybody to calm down and let go of their fears that something was happening.
After two hours the security agents were now reporting back to Gendo and the bridge about what they had found: "The pilot's appeared to be fine and merely preoccupied with other activities when we found them. According to the First Children they were aware of the nature of the alarm and did not respond because they were engaged with something of greater importance."
The security agent was feeling that this report was not received well by Gendo, so he decided to add, "Pilot Ayanami broke Agent Aso's arm and injured agent Ikoma when we entered the apartment uninvited. She said that she would personally report to you at a later time. Pilot Ikari then ordered us to leave and to not talk about anything we had seen."
"Pilot Ikari ordered you?" Gendo asked in disbelief.
The poor Section 2 agent did not know how to respond. He technically knew that the commander's son did not outrank him and could not give him any orders, but Shinji had made a lasting impression on him.
It might have only been her exhaustion that stopped Rei from killing the entire team when they had broken down the door, but the security agent was far more scared of Shinji who had only lain on his back and looked at them malevolently. The way he had stared at them had made it plain that he was indeed his father's son. And an angry Shinji with all his self-doubts and inhibitions temporarily removed could be very a frightening indeed.
There was no way that he was going to tell the commander just what his ward and his son had been doing in there.
