So the idea that she could be seeing herself was a bit of a surprise, as she couldn't figure out why she'd dream of herself like that.
Of course, so long as she had to dream of herself being a 'magical girl' she liked the idea of one like 'Bishojo Senshi Gundam-chan'. After all, being able to wear armor with thrusters on it and using high powered weapons like laser rifles, or energy swords was much better than calling out some ridiculously long magical attack. It fit her sensibilities to be able to lock onto an enemy and blast them away.
Not that she believed that some technologically advanced civilization had created weapons far more advanced than what the base was using now. The fact was that she was sure that even if they could have had some 'pocket space homeland', the idea that some ancient race could have had no mention in history was a shocker. Though the knowledge that they understood technological advantages, and the need for high manueverability and armor was reassuring... if she really believed that sort of thing.
However, she didn't know that Shinji Ikari had shifted realities along with Ranma. There had been no way for her to know that both boys had similiar ideas of 'magical girls' if for different reasons. She'd never known that Shinji had considered her as a military person, and that had affected his 'recasting' of her. He did associate her with the Evangelions, but since he was trying to get away from that, something like a Gundam just seemed to fit.
That resulted in Misato having an alternate form that looked like what in another universe would be called a MS-Girl, though at the moment, she didn't know that.
All she knew was that she'd had a rather strange dream, and one that she couldn't explain. So she rubbed her face with her palm and groaned for a moment before rolling over and muttering to herself, "That's it. No more watching late night reruns and eating left over pineapple and bonito flake pizza..."
Heaving another sigh, she snuggled into her bed and went back to sleep while:
