"Yes, child, no doubt this is some sort of trap by one sort of enemy or another. We shall have to be wary." Cologne nodded approvingly - someone else had figured it out.
"Last one in the hot spring is a panda!" Genma called out as he headed for the bath.
"Hey, that's my milk, old man!" Ranma yelled as his father went off at surprisingly high speeds for his bulk.
Jedite frowned. The boy had found the conveniently dropped yen. The vending machine with the cold milk had been conveniently near. The drugged milk in the vending machine had ended up being completely consumed by that overweight fellow instead of the ringbearer.
Ah, the chase had led them to the stepping stones over the boiling hot mud bath. Jedite entertained himself with the mental picture. Boy steps on stone, stone sinks into the mud, one mud boiled boy with rings that could be pried off his cooked fingers.
"Come back here, you!" Ranma jumped over the stepping stones, still mindlessly pursuing his cavorting father. "That was mine!"
"Yes, and it was quite tasty, just the thing after all that hiking!" Genma proclaimed, accidently flattening two walls as he jumped and skipped ahead of his eleven year old boy. "Nyah-nyah! Stupid boy! Haven't I told you the true secret of the foundation of the Saotome School? 'If I can get away with it - it's mine!' Too slow!"
"Arrrrghhh!" Ranma yelled in frustration as he tried to catch his father and ended up sending a shower of roofing tiles in all directions.
"Fire!" Mars declared, sending a jet of flame after the fleeing milk thief.
"Lightning!" Jupiter announced, sending a few hundred volts after her Master's tormentor.
"Got any spare change?" Moon asked Mars.
Meanwhile, below the recently conjured hot spring resort, something stirred.
It had been there for many long years, but with magical energies being discharged above - it now stirred once again.
