Ekusu-Hito: I accept. On one condition! [Episode 12616]

by Thrythlind

"I go with you NOW!" Akane said, her face firmed into a mask of determination.

"Look, Akane," Ranma started.

"Don't try, Ranma," Akane said. "Like you said. There's nothing to stop these guys from taking you again. So what's to stop them from watching me like a bug until I do something to lead them to you? Like move to America?"

"Uh," Ranma said. Akane suddenly acquired a fearful look in her eyes.

"They could have already been watching me," she gasped looking about and searching for signs of ambush.

You need not worry, a woman's voice spoke in her mind. We are keeping a careful watch.

"What..." Akane said nervously.

"Uh, that's Grey-san," Ranma said. "She's a...can talk into peoples heads and stuff."

"Oh," Akane said. Then her expression firmed again. "Well then what does she think? Shouldn't I just come right now, while we're carefully watched?"

Your family?

"I can tell them later!" Akane said. "Kasumi at least will know what happened."

Such a mysterious vanishing will surely attract attention.

"Yeah, but will they know where to start looking for me then?" Akane asked. "I just send a mail or something saying I've gone looking for Ranma, I'm fine, write you more soon, etc..."

"When did you start thinking like Nabiki?" Ranma asked bervously.

"When you vanished for a month," Akane said.

She can come now, if she wishes, another mind voice said. This one a man's. Akane shivered a little but then comported herself.

"Then let's go then," she said, in her normal imperious manner.
