As much as Ikkuo wanted to rush over her the princess' side and protect her like she would for her own daughter, but in her dream she couldn't. All she could do is watch as the princess said her last words of joining her beloved in death, while the evil Beryl gloated over her victory.
Usagi may have been troublesome lately, with her last minute dashes to school, poor grades, and a tendency to trip on her own feet, but she was her daughter and loved her all the same. She just could not imagine someone ruthless like Beryl would be after her child.
It would be a moment before Ikuko went back to sleep, as the vividness of the dream made it all the harder to forget. All she could do was hope that it was nothing more than just another nightmare.
