"He's called again," Ichiro's sister announced cryptically as she put down the phone.
"People call us all the time on that line. They usually want us to bring them food," Ichiro assured her earnestly, "why don't you tell us what this person wanted and give me the address?"
"Idiot," she rebuffed his well-meant filial assistance, "it was your friend from that fairytale castle."
Suddenly it got very silent in the kitchen of Light Castle Restaurant as the extended family who worked there abandoned their various tasks and drew closer.
"What did he say?", "How do you know it was him?", "What did he want?" they asked eagerly.
"It was the same address and he wanted the same as last week only twice as much. That was all." Ichiro's Sister told them.
"That was all?" Father asked disbelieving.
"Well he probably didn't want to say anything over the phone, had to make it sound like a normal order. You never know who might be listening in." Ichiro argued.
"Yes, but what did he mean with twice as much as before? Is that a good sign or bad sign?" Father despaired unable to decipher the message.
"Perhaps he wanted twice as much food as the last time. You know, just like he said," his sister suggested unimaginatively.
"Maybe it did not mean anything," mother tried to calm everyone down, "but let's bring double portions just in case."
"Yes we will have to actually take food there to keep up appearances," father was slowly catching up.
"Who is this we anyway? Don't you think it will look slightly suspicious if takeout is delivered by a delegation consisting of half a dozen older people? I think that the food should be delivered by somebody who will not draw too much attention and who preferably is less credulous then Ichiro here, so that we can get a less fanciful picture of what is going on." Ichiro's sister suggested.
She was obviously trying to steal his thunder and be send to the castle in his place even if she did not actually believe in its existence herself.
"No, no!" Ichiro defended his position, "we should not send an unfamiliar face. If he does not recognize the messenger he might just break of contact."
"Then it is settled," his father announced, "you will accompany me. He did say twice as much, so two messengers should fit."
Meanwhile at Kuno Manor the young scion of the house Kuno was making a shocking discovery.
"What manner of recreancy is this Sasuke?" Tatewaki Kuno demanded of his manservant, "I send you out to find information about the whereabouts of the beauteous Akane Tendo and you are lying here in the garden sunning yourself. What sort of man are you that you can pursue your leisure when you have been given a mission from your master?"
The ninja lying motionless in the garden tried to explain himself. "I am full of remorse for my deplorable behavior young master, but might I bring up in my defense that I am not lying here out of my own volition. Miss Kodachi has seen it fit to test one of her newest paralyzing powders on me when I came to report to you the day before yesterday and I have been lying here every since.
"I understand it is my own fault for not acquiring an immunity to this newest formula in time, but I would like to at least apply for leniency especially in light of the fact that I managed to obtain the information you sought before I was detained."
Tatewaki Kuno considered this — it took a great man to show great mercy after all.
"Fine, you will only have deducted your pay for the time you spend idle in the yard," he decided.
"All 400 Yen of it?" Sasuke asked mournfully.
"Yes!" Kuno insisted — a great judge had to be as firm as he was merciful, "but that is not really of importance right now. Tell me what you have found out."
"As I already told miss Kodachi," Sasuke began only to be interrupted by Tatewaki.
"You have told my sister of the purpose of your mission and she paralyzed you? It would be just like my twisted sibling to sabotage my noble quest," Kuno declared.
He picked up the still paralyzed Sasuke and hurried for the gate. "There is not time to loose; we have to haste. Who knows what she might have done with the information. She could have warned Akane's abductor of my coming. We have to reach him before he flees from my wrath."
