The legends about Ryoko’s gems were true in that they were an incredible source of power and the focus for channeling that power in many ways. They were not, however, the only source of her power. Ryoko did not yet know the truth of her own origin, but she was based partly on the Masu, a lifeform that was a sort of living matter-anti-matter reactor. She had crafted the counterfeit gem, still on her wrist, by sacrificing much of her body mass in slow, controlled reactions of that sort. It had been very slow due to Yosho’s Key binding her and preventing the generation or expenditure of more than a trickle of power. The process, the sacrifice, and the limitations of operating under the binding had left her a withered mummy.
The currently relevant detail in all this was that Ryoko, like the Masu, was a living reactor. The gems provided still more power and ways to use that power, but were not necessary for her ability to fly, teleport, pass through solid objects, or her inhuman strength. The false gem she had created mimicked some of the focusing properties of a true gem, allowing her to fire energy blasts and use her sword. It also served as an additional reservoir that she could use to store the power she generated. Her original plan to escape her cave had been to use the stored power in one massive strike, before the Key and Funaho could react. Tenchi had made it a moot point by releasing her.
The paralysis inducing weaponry of her captors worked to impair Ryoko’s muscles, but not her ability to generate energy. The draining systems and her own efforts had depleted her internal reservoirs and the one in the gem, but that which is drained may be recharged.
Ryoko recharged very quickly.
So as Arisa had approached with a mighty metal cock and rape on her mind, Ryoko was not helpless. In fact, she had recharged her internal reserves most of the way. She had not acted yet as the more power she had for her next set of actions, the better.
And she had been enjoying herself.
She wouldn’t have let things go on so long if she hadn’t noticed Tenchi watching from the house. Letting these fools think they had her was embarrassing, but she had seen the games played in that clearing near her cave. She had seen Tenchi in the clearing, usually with the green-haired slave, so she knew some of his tastes and the fantasies he liked to play out. She hoped he liked the show, she wanted him nice and ready when she came to get him.
That led into the other item on her list. Playtime with the girls down there had been fun, but she couldn’t let them think they had really gotten the best of her or gotten away with treating her like that. More importantly, they were keeping her away from Tenchi, and they had some punishment coming for that.
Ryoko floated in the sky and energy poured back into her internal reserves and the counterfeit gem. Without distractions, she was able to throw off the paralysis by destroying and rebuilding the affected portions of her body from within. Shortly, she was ready to play again. And while she could appreciate a little pain, it was better to give than to receive.
