"Misato? Do you mind if I go into your bedroom for some privacy?"
Misato blinked a bit. "Master, my bedroom is now the amethyst on your ring. That is now your bedroom, if you want."
Shinji blushed a bit. "Um. It still has all of your clothes in it."
Misato snapped her fingers. "Oh. Give me a second."
Misato's eyes flashed the color of her genie outfit and clothes flew out of the bedroom and bathroom. The clothes turned into a swirl of purpule smoke and was drawn inside the amethyst on Shinji's ring.
Misato shrugged, "Sorry, Master. I forgot to take my human belongings into the gem."
Shinji sweatdropped. "Er. Right. Keep on that data. I think I need to talk to Asuka in private."
"Yes, Master," Rei and Misato replied.
Going into the bedroom, Shinji sat down on the bed and stared at the ruby on his ring. He took a deep breath and rubbed the gem. Red smoke came pouring out and coalesced into Asuka. The genie girl was kneeling and slowly her eyes opened. She looked at Shinji with barely supressed anger.
"What is your wish, Master?" Asuka replied.
Shinji took a deep breath and asked, "Why are you upset at me, Asuka?"
Asuka turned her head away and said nothing.
"Please, Asuka. I know I hurt you some way, but I don't know why."
Asuka asked, "Why don't you just order me to tell you? I mean, that's what you did with me drinking beer."
Shinji blinked, as he saw tears in Asuka's eyes. "I'm sorry. It's just not the beer is it?"
Asuka ground out, "No. Everytime I think I've gotten used to this, something comes up and tells me that I'm nothing more than a slave."
Hearing the pain in Asukas voice caused Shinji to go back over the wishes he gave to each of the girls. He thought about Misato and her command not to drink.
Shinji thought for a second and said, "Asuka, I wish you would tell me what you expect of me being your master."
Asuka felt the power roll through her and tears went down her cheeks. "I'm not sure anymore. I know I can't be turned back into a human and I'm bound to you. I just want some of my free will back."
"How?"
Asuka thught for a bit. "Talk to us, before making a wish or command. You could have wished that we wouldn't get drunk or something else."
Shinji nodded, as he got up from the bed. He hesitated for quite a while, before giving Asuka a hug.
"I'm sorry, Asuka. I'll try to do better in the future."
After being released from the hug, Asuka blushed heavily as she stammered, "Than you, Master Shinji. I think I'd better return to my gem now."
"Do you want to be released from your command now?"
"N-no. A-anything else?"
"Why isn't Misato acting the same way about being a genie?"
"Amethyst thinks of this as her second chance. I'm not sure, maybe Sapphire can tell you more. Or you could just ask Amethyst."
Shinji frowned for a second. "All right. See you tomorrow, Asuka."
"Good-nite, Master," Asuka said, as she returned to her gem.
Shinji rubbed the other two gems, Rei and Misato instantly appeared in front of him.
The two genies said in unison, "You called us, Master."
Shinji nodded. "Yes, I think we'd better get some sleep"
'Is telling them to return to their gems, taking away their free will? Asuka pulled it off, but Rei and Misato haven't done it yet,' Shinji thought.
The two genies just knelt there.
"Um, girls? Genies? What are you waiting for?"
Rei answered, "Unlike Ruby, Master Shinji. You have to tell us to go into our respective gem. And even with Ruby, you have to allow her to return."
Shinji rolled his eyes upward. "All right. Girls, return to your gems."
After a plume of violet smoke and blue smoke poured into the gems, Shinji ran his hands through his hair in exasperation. "Having those three as my genies is not exactly what I thought it would be."
