Ranma was staring at the Grim Reaper, waiting for a response.
He did not expect for him to grab his head and shake it for a while.
After a few moments, the skeleton being raised his head again. This time, however, it seemed that someone else was in charge. “Oh, sorry. I kinda got too in the part.” He then looked around. “Now what am I doing here? I was supposed to be using my scythe for important things!” He looked at Ranma again. “What the hell are you doing here, too?”
Ranma scratched the top of his head, confused. Okay, he didn’t really scratch it, but it sure felt like scratching it. “Uh… ya said that I died and that you were going to take me away.”
The Grim Reaper seemed thoughtful for a few seconds, before lashing out at Ranma. “What? I’m Death, not some stupid ghost baby-sitter! You go take care of yourself!”
Ranma groaned. Things were getting weird… well, actually, weirder. “Wait a minute here! You’re Death, aren’t ya? Then why aren’t ya checking my soul or something?” he asked, angrily. Death gave him a gaze that could have killed a hippie from hypothermia.
“I’m Death, yes, but I’m not a killer! I don’t go around killing people just because they need to die! I got a quota to work on, and you’re not a part of it! Got it? Now leave me alone! I have to dig a hole to release a kitsune spirit onto the upworld! And that’s five miles away!” he harrumphed, right as he turned around and started to leave.
Ranma stared wordlessly at the sight of the Grim Reaper, the Cloaked Skeleton, the Haunt of the Living… was mindlessly carrying his scythe around, scratching the pavement as if it was baked cheese. He stared at him for a while before finally recovering enough energies to scream:
“HEY, WAIT!”
