“Professor, you can’t be serious, I mean Logan and Mystique couldn’t have had a kid together!” Scott said, as soon as everyone regained their hearing.
“I am quite serious Scott, Logan and Mystique are Ranma’s parents, which means that Logan is, in a way, Kurt and Rogue’s step father,” replied Professor Xavier.
“Professor, that is just too weird even for us, that is, like, just too strange to believe,” said Kitty as she tried to picture what a kid of Logan and Mystique would be like. The image in her mind was something like a blue skinned Logan with red hair, and a personality as though he was just better because he couldn’t be beat. Although she was wrong about looks she had no idea how close she was about his personality, however, she was most likely going to forget that she had those thoughts once she saw the real thing.
Evan and Ray couldn’t get the idea of meeting and learning from the best martial artist they knew of, out of their heads, and were practically bouncing around the room in a way that would have made Jamie proud, if he was the one doing so, instead he was just as bothered by the sight as the rest of the students and teachers. Hank and Ororo were just hoping that he and Scott got along better than Logan and Scott did, while everyone else was stuck on the concept of Mystique and Logan having a child together.
Later that afternoon...
Several students had gone out to the mall, leaving Rouge, Kurt, and Jamie at the mansion with the teachers. Professor Xavier was unable to tell the other students of Ranma and Logan’s actual arrival time, once he had found out, because of all the commotion his announcement that morning had caused. The three who were still at the mansion were told only because they had calmed down enough to hear the announcement as the others left.
So when they heard the front door opening it was understandable that Jamie bumped into a few corners in his mad dash down the hall, things he’d overhead from Evan and Ray rapid discussion of Ranma’s martial arts skill still floating in his head. While Kurt merely ported himself into a hall just out of sight of the front hall, and Rouge just sighed, knowing just what her brother and Jamie had likely just done even without anyone else’s powers informing her, before calmly walking out of the Kitchen and to the door.
For Ranma, it was the sight of the clone army running toward him that occupied his attention just a few short seconds after entering the mansion. While Kurt was trying to stifle a laugh as he suddenly thought that Jamie was swarming some cotton candy shaped like a man. “Pull yourselves together kiddo, before you overwhelm Ranma here.”
