The Batman had been out on patrol looking for Mr. Freeze who had released himself from Arkham. He had been focusing on the jewelry district that housed the most amount of diamonds that fed the greed of the cryogenic villain. He arrived to see Freeze, interrupted in his robbery by two figures. A fourteen year old boy and his father, Asian in appearance, were using some extremely skilled martial arts to try and stop the frosty villain. Only they were slowing down from the cold.
Freeze managed to get a lucky shot on the boy freezing his lower body in ice before he was given a flying kick, breaking the ice the covered Freeze's head in his exosuit. Freeze turned around to the man. "I was saving this for the Batman, but you have annoyed me enough to deserve it. Freeze's hands glowed with an icy blue light as he grabbed the large man. The Asian man's colour started to drain as he turned blue. He fell as Freeze let go.
That was enough for Bruce as he released the special heat bombs he had developed to repulse Freeze. The icy villain fell back. He looked as the Batman. "You have shown up. But it's too late for fatso. My Death Freeze is draining the heat from his body rapidly. It won't be long before the blood in his veins freezes. I had hoped to use it on you as it can be only used once. Unless I find that cryogentist again. But that fat guy was worth it. Go ahead, try and save him. If you can. If you can't, remember the icy power of Freeze." With that Freeze fled into the night.
Bruce had a more important mission to perform. He had to save the man from this severe hypothermia that he was experiencing. Bruce took out the devices that he had gathered to fight Freeze's ice. Before he could start, the man grabbed his arm. "If I don't... make it,... raise my... son... in... to... a... man... of... honour." With that Genma Saotome passed out.
