Project Zero: In the Dark (DARK) [Episode 129111]

by Shadow Knight

Never before had Akane seen anything quite like what she saw now. She was inside a humongous cavern spacious enough to fit a city in it, spacious if it wasn't for the fact that there was a huge dragon in the middle of the stony cavern.

The dragon was as black as the cavern was dark, and yet Akane could see it as clear as day. She could see every single part of its gigantic body, all with perfect clarity.

There was no light illuminating this gigantic room, and yet Akane didn't even need to squint to see the smooth, stone floor beneath her. She could also see the lake that encircled the black dragon on all sides.

But this lake wasn't normal, Akane noticed. The water was not any kind of blue she ever saw; instead, it was golden in color. A greedy man would have gladly drowned below its shinny waves. At first the color of the water confused Akane until, to her horror, she saw the water's source...

"Oh my god!" Akane's scream echoed through the large cavern.

The reason the lake was gold in color was because it wasn't made of water, it was made of blood. The black dragon's golden blood had flowed freely from a large gash on its side until the lake that surrounded it had been formed... And it was still bleeding!

Inmediately Akane felt sorry for the poor beast, alone in the dark with pain as its only companion. But suddenly, Akane's compation turned to fear when the black dragon opened its eyes and looked at her.

Its dark eyes felt like an abyss to Akane; the longer its gaze remained on her, the deeper she felt herself sink. Finally, she felt herself scream as loud as she could, then darkness overcame her.
