And since she didn't want to spend all her time in an insane chase after a teenaged boy, she knew that she'd have to work with what she had.
But no one had said that it couldn't be on her terms. When one knew that something was going to happen, it did allow for a bit of control over that event. It didn't always help, since there were events, like an asteroid coming to hit the place where one lived, that only had a few options. However, in this case, she could work with the situation that she had.
Of course, she could come up with some sort of complicated plan where he'd be humiliated, and the Senshi'd think that he was an enemy, but that'd likely cause more trouble than it was worth.
There was another way though. All she had to do was to get them to meet when Ranma and any of the Senshi were children. Kids of that age didn't get romantic connections, never thought of the long term in any real seriousness, and would constantly move on to new friends as they grew older. And with Genma's approach to raising his kids, it would make it easier to get them parted. She wouldn't have to lift a finger, and the fated meeting would happen.
At best, it would be a simple contact, and they'd never see each other again. It wouldn't make much more of a situation if they played together then, and if they were simply his friends, he'd likely become a martial artist version of Naru or their families.
So, deciding that making them simply meet as kids would be the best manuver, Pluto got to work. It wasn't a hard thing, as she just had to make some slight nudges. All she had to do was to make sure that they were in a position to make contact. The kids would take it from there.
