The proof came in the form of a ship crashing into Tokyo Bay.
That was a time of great confusion, as no one knew what they had on their hands at first, and when they did find out what had splashed down, the questions started. People were wondering what the aliens were like, what their purpose was, and if it was even a good thing that they had landed. In those tense first days, many folks had very logical concerns.
However, it proved to be less of a worry than many had thought. The ship did carry aliens, but all of them were of a humanoid race called the DearS, and most of them were attractive young women. It turned out that their arrival was an accident, and they were rather polite about what had happened. They displayed an amazing ability to learn, and a willingness to help out with any problem. Each one was capable of a lot, and they were quite intelligent, lovely, and caring. They even went as far as to agree to 'homestays', where a DearS would go to stay with a host family, and live with them in order to assimilate into Earth, specifically Japan's, life and culture.
And it had been a year since that started. Rather than being generally feared, they were very popular, to the point that fan websites were devoted to them. When a DearS came for a homestay, it was the talk of the neighborhood, and everyone would be excited over being one of the chosen areas. All of the DearS were integrating nicely into the local environment, and the fact that an alien race was there was becoming another fact of life.
Sailor Pluto tried not to choke on her shock at the sight, and the knowledge that each of the Senshi were now a DearS.
Rubbing her eyes, she turned her attention to the matter at hand and looked to see that:
