Of Lives: Problems Of Feelings [Episode 129835]

by Kender

Pluto rubbed at her eyes and wondered what she could make of this. Sure this was not quite the best of situations, but she wasn't sure how she should handle it. After all, her problem had been to keep the Senshi from being matched up with Ranma, but she hadn't considered the possibility of one of their mothers getting involved.

And this was definately involved.

An aching head was Kumori's first indication that something was up. She'd never been one to overindulge, and what she quickly realised was a hangover was new to her. That, combined with a lethargy that made her want to cuddle up to the warmth that she was laying against, made her reluctant to allow herself to fully awaken.

Then she realised that the warmth that she was so delightfully curled up against was a male body.

Her eyes shot wide open, and she looked down at the young man who was entangled with her on the couch. For a moment, the sight of her handsome partner made her mind go blank, in part because she oddly felt a little pleased to have coupled with such a hunk, but mostly she was completely shocked at what she had done. It simply wasn't in her nature to go bed young studs anywhere, and even if she did, it would have been in private, not a hospital office.

However, she found that she couldn't blame him completely. She could remember a lot of what had happened, and she knew that when she'd been drunk, she'd been rather... happy, and carefree. On the other hand, he'd been uncertain, and shy, though the alcohol had obviously affected him as well. Still, he was obviously inexperienced in such matters, and she was supposed to be older, wiser and intelligent. But she'd made it easy for him to bed her, and she found herself leaving him less of the blame for their situation.

He made that easier, since he'd apparently arranged it so that he was laying closer to the edge, and was protecting her from falling off in her sleep. Any young man who would have naturally done that would have been special in her book, and it strangely made her feel more... immature.

Not that she really felt all that awful at having her body laying against his hard muscled form.

Yet, as his eyes opened and obvious panic set in as he realised what had happened, she knew that she was going to have to put aside a lot of her own worries to help him through it. "Shh... It's alright..," she murmured, gently holding him steady, and hoping that she wouldn't muck this up.

As she watched the nude doctor help her bedmate... er, couchmate, get over the surprise of waking up like that, Pluto knew that this was a bit of a mess. Obviously things had not gone on like that in the original timeline, and she knew that it was going to be quite different in this one. And as she checked out what had clued her on to the ramifications of this event, Pluto knew that things would definately not be the same.

Kumori held onto the edge of her bathroom sink and looked at the results of the test, there was no change. It still told her the same thing, and she knew that it was not going to stop doing so. The rabbit in the moon could hop down to Earth and it'd still read the same.

She was pregnant.

There wasn't a question of who the father was, since she'd only had one bed partner for a long time. Her rounds had kept her too busy to really get into any sort of relationship, and she wasn't someone who usually slept with someone on the first date. That meant that right in her abdomen, Ranma Saotome's son or daughter was growing.

Oddly enough, she thought that fit in just fine with what she was going on. After all, she'd gone and slept with a guy when she was drunk. She'd seen the guy in question afterwards, with his clothes on, but he alternated between trying to be nice and looking to be afraid that she'd get mad at him for something. They'd actually managed to get to the point where they could eat together, but it was still a bit awkward, and she wasn't quite sure what they would make of what they'd done. It had been no use to forget their time together, but neither of them were sure if they should get back to how things had once been, be friends, or if it had been a symptom of some real attraction.

And now she was carrying his child within her womb.

Sighing heavily, she sat down on the tiled floor and wondered what she should do. Her moment of thoughtlessness had resulted in her getting pregnant with a younger man's child. That was something major, but she had been familiar with, if not really connecting, with the individual in question before this. He was going to be a father, and at the moment, the only one who knew that was her.

"Mommy?" asked a concerned, and young voice.

Turning to look at the speaker, Kumori tried to put on a show of confidence, and knew that she was failing miserably as she looked into a pair of guileless, and perceptive, blue eyes.

"Is something wrong?"

The doctor, known for her skill with children, didn't know what to say in this instance.

Ami looked at her mother, and patted her on the cheek. "It'll be alright. You'll see..."

Clasping her child's hand in hers, Kumori gave a quick smile and hoped that her little daughter was right. Something like this always changed everything. But she did know that she was going to have to:
