Of course, he'd ruined the seriousness of the moment by snickering to himself over what had happened. It was not everyday that he got to play the hero, but to be able to tease those girls a bit was immense fun. He still knew that a lot of what they had said did have some bearing on his situation, since he knew that they would react to him based on those ideas. But he was reasonably sure that he could deal with that sort of thing.
The only problem that he had at the moment was that he had to figure out just what sort of 'image' he'd work out. Just his clothing alone would probably have a lot of effect with them, and he didn't want to screw that up too much. He knew that he was supposed to be the type of dangerous guy that would be swayed by the feelings of one of the heroines, but that still left a lot of leeway. They would assume a lot from him, but he didn't want it to be the wrong thing.
So he went through his options. The first possibility was to be some sort of dark and evil character whom the heroines helped to find redemption, but he didn't think that fit, especially since he'd just acted to save innocents. Instead of some stoic warrior, he'd be the type to tease and show off, things that somehow appealed to him. Plus, he could wear some nice outfits, something that wouldn't be too over the top, but wouldn't be weak either. All he'd have to do would be to get something that had a subtle 'dangerous' look to it.
Then he could get to work with them, which would be interesting. Some deep need made him want to do that, especially since Hotaru was one of them. He did plan on acting the part, though he didn't hold any real belief that they'd actually get to the point of trying to be his girlfriend or something. It had been nice to be called 'cute' after years of hearing fake sympathy and outright insults, but all that time didn't make it easy to accept the possibility that a girl would find him that attractive, never mind any that looked that good in a fuku.
Though, he did plan on getting an outfit that looked rather good on him. He told himself that it just fit into the role, and had nothing to do with the idea of having a pretty girl finding him attractive.
Having made his decision, he left the rooftop and headed off to get an appropriate outfit, while:
