"Please, ya gotta help me!" He begged, tears flowing from his eyes in a perfect rendition of Tendo Soun.
"But, uh, you have to make a wish." Mihoshi stated, dividing her attention between her crying customer and the woman charging thier position with a wooden mallet held over her head.
"Look, just help me, okay?" He begged quicker, the words almost tripping over themselves in the rush to force them past his tongue. "Read my mind and fix my problems or something."
"Is that your wish?" The blonde asked, looking down at the sobbing young man hugging her lower legs.
"Yeah, yeah! I wish for that!" Ranma cried, cringing as he heard the thundering footsteps of the charging gorilla... er, beautiful Akane getting closer.
"Granted." Her voice rang out, freezing everything for a split second. In that split second, the newly empowered genie looked into the mind of her client and gasped at the horror he had lived through. Jusenkyo. Amazons. Neko-ken. Multiple fiance's. School. A certain mercenary. A bad father. A rotten mother. Why, his life was simply horrid.
So how could she fix this? Simply removing everything that had been done to him would require too much power to be straight forward... but maybe. She concentrated and formed a an empty ball in her left hand. Into this ball, she poured his martial arts training, his limited social skills, and what little academic knowledge that he had. Then she slowly regressed his age.
Age sixteen: a lot of the blunt force trauma that he had endured went away.
Age fifteen: his gender changing curse gave up the ghost.
Age ten: malnutrition damage fixed.
Age seven: more Genma related damage fixed, including a certain procedure to limit intelligence.
Age five: neko-ken damage and the fear of cats removed.
Then she took her glowing ball, formally empty, and poured everything back into his head. Now there was a five-year old Ranma with all his most important skills and knowledge intact. Feeling happy with herself, she blinked out just before time restarted itself.
Akane had been charging her cheating fiance when the blonde had disappeared in a flash of light. She saw the pig-tailed head shrink in height and tried to halt the swing of her mallet before it struck. She almost made it.
***THWACK***
Chiba-Ranma was knocked to the ground. True, his body didn't have it's previous toughness, but he was still in the habit of sending his chi through his skin to limit damage. So, he was able to get back to his feet, grab the small bump on his head, and spin around to face his attacker.
Akane was still in shock at seeing Chiba-Ranma, so she might be excused from freezing in shock.
Chiba-Ranma, though, was still a mischievious little brat. Opening his mouth, the instrument that had gotten him into so much trouble in the past, he proceeded with his attack. "WAAAAAAIIIII!!!!! THE MEAN OLD LADY HIT ME WITH A MALLET!!!!"
Now imagine this: Akane is standing in front of a wailing little boy. Holding a mallet. In public. On a busy street. In Nerima.
Got all that? These are the same women that chase Happosai on a regular basis to give him a beating. These are the same women that try to protect children from all the mean, old martial artists that tear up the neighborhood. Can you guess what happened next?
"You bully!" WHACK!
"You brute!" TWHACK!
"You rotten person!" MASH! MANGLE! mommy. BASH! POW! CRASH! THUD! help. KAPOW! TWIST! THRUST! SMASH!
Results: one crowd beaten Akane and one thankful Chiba-Ranma. "Thank you kind and beautiful ladies." He says with his cutest smile and wide eyes.
"Oh, how cute."
"How polite."
"He's so precious."
Even when the crowd had dispersed, Chiba-Ranma continued to look at the beaten form of his fiance. And a thought popped into his head. He had discovered a new technique. True, he wouldn't have used it when he was older, but it was really powerful right now.
Smirking, he stuck his hands into his cute, little Chinese tangs and started walking back to the dojo. Life was so good for him right now. Mentally, he checked off his list of problems: Too young to live off of. (takes care of Genma and Soun) Too young to marry. (so much for the fiance brigade) Ain't cursed no more. (hehehehe) Can't be blackmailed. (Nabiki bites the dust) Ain't got no rivals. (yeah!)
"Yep." He sighed happily. "Life just don't get better than this."
