Akane watched helplessly as Ranma's body thrashed and twitched, wails of pain being torn from his body as he began to change.
Spots of blood erupted forth all over his chest, followed immediately by waves of downy feathers and short, showy plumes, all colored various shades of blue and white, creating a small crest of feathers across Ranma's chest.
Ranma's hands and feet rapidly darkened till they were almost completely black, though they slowly faded to his natural skin color as the change reached his wrists and ankles. The darkened skin then dryed and toughened to the texture of fire-hardened leather as strong as cold-forged steel, while Ranma's nails quickly became titanium-strength talons. His toes and feet merged into five large, manipulative talons, largely made up of bone and muscle, with two toes in back for support and stability and three toes up front, all of which could be used like an eagles talons to grip, climb, shred, as well as to walk, kick and run with.
In addition, more feathers sprouted from Ranma's forearms, wrists, ankles, shins, and around his face, as his ears retracted into his head, while his hair grew down to his waist before turning multiple shades of blue. Finally, as Ranma's eyes turned gold and his ki skyrocketed, an aura of freezing cold erupted from his now floating body as he was curled into a fetal position. Strangely enough Ranma almost completely resembled a monochromatically blue Blaziken, beak and all, but with slightly different hands and feet, and not as much feathers
As the aura continued to grow larger and more powerful, shards of ice began to form from the water vapor in the air and swirl around Ranma, while stalagtites of ice erupted from the ground as the ground water began to freeze rapidly.
Fortunately, Akane and the others had been able to move everyone as far away from Ranma as possible before his aura could do any harm to them. After settling down about one hundred feet away from were Ranma was floating in mid-air, Akane and the others settled down to wait for Ranma's transformation to subside.
Meanwhile, as Ranma was finishing his transformation...
