Washu, for example, may have acted like a child, but she performed all her experiments in artificially formed dimensional pockets where, if something were to go wrong it wouldn't, for instance, blow up the galaxy.
Brianna, on the other hand, sometimes got a little reckless with her guns and bombs, but usually the primary one to suffer from a flawed prototype is Brianna (though sometimes the suffering comes by way of her sisters). However, Brianna was a lot more mature than, say, Cheetah about several things...like messing with the fabric of time. There were even times that Brianna was the voice of reason in telling Gina that something is a bad idea that perhaps a little inethical too.
Contrary to her reputation (and ways that she has been written on this addventure) Brianna does NOT force herself upon people. She'll beg, plead, tease, flirt, grope, lean, bump, and otherwise drive a target to annoyance. But, unless they say yes, she will not, for example, use some phenomenal new power granted out of nowhere to provide herself a sex-slave. She actually CARES about other people's rights.
No, Brianna, who was at her best as a battlefield leader, (she makes an excellent tactician and commander, cool, logical, decisive, knows how to make herself heard, and exceptional head for the overall battle, probably the best small scale to large scale strategic/tactical mind that is in the whole comic) was generally a quirky, exciteable cat-girl with a thing for big guns and tuna.
Neither was truly a mad scientist, though they looked and played the part.
Unfortunately, however, Nerima contained neither Washu nor Brianna.
Fortunatelly, nor did it contain the materials necessary for any of their more dangerous weapons.
However, suddenly acquiring 300 IQ, up or down depending on room temperature, makes one suddenly aware, for example, that all ones ploys to win someone's heart are merely pushing that person away. Or that some people only see you as friends. Or that certain people are cursed and not two different people/beings. Or that, outside real life situations (such as life and death), sneakiness and underhandness is generally frowned upon and considered "dishonorable" making one no where near as honorable as one believed oneself. And of course, the kicker, it would bring the knowledge that someone has in the past either been doing a bad job at hiding a crush on one, or that the person one has been sure one (or ones) would marry actually hates your guts.
In general....while 300 IQ wouldn't bring TOTAL understanding of the human heart, it brought upon enough understanding of situations to produce a host of creative, depressed, despondent, desparate geniuses. (though probably some would get over it, another facet of intelligence, unless of course they're arrogant, vindictive sorts of geniuses.)
So, while there would most likely be no laser weapons, the plans were going to be much better for the time being...or else some of the temporary geniuses might just wallow in self-pity at home.
