So here she was, in this dirty and cramped place looking for something worth a few hundred thousand yen to the right person. The sacrifices she made for her family.
Turning to look at a gleam out of the corner of her eye, Nabiki moved some old cardboard boxes out of the way to find a small chest with a small rusted lock. Judging by the looks of the thing it had to be pretty old, and that theory was then proven when she gave a tug on the lock and it quickly broke off.
Throwing the small thing off to the side, Nabiki quickly opened the box to see the ancient treasures contained within were… “Old panties,” the girl deadpanned as she lifted the ancient undergarment before quick shivering and tossing the blasted thing aside. Just great, Nabiki thought with a frown. two hours of work and the only thing I can find is one of Happosai’s old stashs.
Then after a moment, Nabiki rolled her eyes and picked up another pair of panties to toss to the side, and another, and another. Even if this was a waste of time, Nabiki knew that she wouldn’t forgive herself if there also happened to be something like a gold coin at the bottom of the pile. But after a few revolting seconds of having to toss what were probably the first undergarments ever worn, all she had found was six bras, seven pairs of panties, two scrolls containing badly written instructions for techniques involving panty theft, and a vile of glitter.
“Well, maybe I can scam a kid with it or something,” Nabiki mumbled as she looked at the sparking thing in her hands with a frown. Although, knowing Happosai’s MO, this hardly fitted the usual stuff that one expected to find in one of his lockboxes.
Then, inspiration stuck, Nabiki with a mallet made of common sense. Knowing Happosai, and the stuff that he has laying around, this wasn’t glitter, but some more hokey magic stuff. Meaning that it would probably be worth something to the Amazons, since that’s where all his mystical junk seemed to come from in the first place. They would probably pay a lot to get it back, assuming it was something important of course.
But on the other hand, Happosai also liked to carry around tons of crap meant for little kids, so if Nabiki did show up on the Amazons doorstep and was caught trying to cheat them, she was pretty sure that Cologne wouldn’t take too kindly to that. From what Nabiki had seen, none of those foreign nutcases didn’t give much of a damn about the whole bystanders thing that kept Ranma from going postal on her.
But how was she going to test it?
