There has always been a battle between the forces of good and the forces of evil. Forces that have been fighting for control over the Earth. Each seeking the edge that would push them over the battle lines that had been marked out millennium before.
The lords of the universe created something that could break the normal rules of combat, creating and empowering both sides with great energy and powers. A rare bloodline that would occasionally create a being that would hold infinite power to affect those chosen by either side. Being known as Springs for their powers would spring forth increasing the power of others.
But the blood was rare only popping up once and a while. It was possible to breed those who had a higher chance of having the power, but there was always a small chance that would cause all of the work to come to nought. But each side of the eternal conflict knew that these people, normal humans in all but one respect, existed. And that caused battles to gain them on their sides.
Our story begins with such a character. A person who's birth was heralded by both the forces of good and evil. Different members of each side marked that day and waited till the day that the power would be released. The power to create and/or enhance the champions of good and evil. A being that would hold power over these champions that would cause them to be courted by both sides for the battles to come.
And this character that will have great effect on the world is known as...
