Text-Based Yu-Gi-Oh 02: This a "No Fiber Jar" and "No Change of Heart" Zone! [Episode 133133]

by (The Looney Tune-y) Robster80

Wait, here comes someone. It's Seto Kaiba and his younger brother Mokuba. Sugoroku Mutou frowns at Kaiba, recalling when his Blue-Eyes White Dragon was taken by Kaiba and torn in two.

Why did Kaiba do that?

Kaiba wanted all of the four BEWD Cards, but Grandpa Mutou refused to sell his on account it was a gift from an old friend. Kaiba then later challenged Grandpa to a duel and beat him with the other three BEWD he got through sinister means. He didn't want the last BEWD to be used against him someday so he destroyed it.

"What are you doing in my shop," Sugoroku says, "I've never forgiven you for what you did to me, Seto Kaiba, even if Yugi defeated you in a duel!"

"We're here because we know you're selling cards to anyone who's looking to enter Battle City," Mokuba replies, trying to keep the peace. "Seto made me the official of the tournament and I brought you several copies of a list of cards that cannot be used at all during the tournament or throughout this online game. This list is the latest official Forbidden/Limited List for the card game that went into effect as of today."

There's a forbidden/limited list?

Yes, OdaibaGal. You see, there are some cards that are too powerful to leave in the hands of any duelist, even when said cards have been limited to at least one copy per deck instead of the maximum of three. That's why the List was made; to keep those players in check. However, it changes about every six months.

Hey, let me see that list. Maybe Monster Reborn is now playable again.

Mokuba hands you both a copy.

Oh you gotta be kidding me!

What's wrong?

Two of my crads in my current deck have now been banned from being playable. I have to remove Fiber Jar and Change of Heart.

Mokuba says he's sorry, but those are the new rules.

Hey, Sangan and Mirror Force are now playable again! They're only limited to one copy per deck, but I'll replace my other cards with them so I can still use my Exodia deck.

What do they do?

Sangan is a good card for certain decks requiring card searching. When it is sent to the graveyard from the field, the controller of the card gets to pull a monster with 1500 attack or less to his hand and resuffle the deck. It's good for an Exodia deck since the pieces of Exodia each have little attack and defense points. Mirror Force is a trap card that destroys your opponant's face-up attack monsters when an attack has been declared against you.

This is a lot to absorb.

Takes a lot of practice, and research on all the stats and effects. Sometimes people play certain cards the wrong way.

"I see a demonstration is in order," Kaiba says, overhearing the conversation. "How about an exhibition match to show her how the game goes? I could use some practice."

"Not so fast, son," Sugoroku Mutou states, "I heard the name Exodia, and I'd like to see how this youngster runs his deck in a duel against MY Exodia deck."

"Aw, come on," Mokuba whines, "let me duel for once! I wanna try out my own deck!"
