They looked down on a familiar scene. "You know, I have no problem with the guy having success, but I just hate the idea of avoiding conflict. Call me a ideologue along the lines of those Shadow goofballs, but it really IS my gig." said the darkly handsome man in ornate black armor. Ares had many traits, most of which he'd be the first to admit were barbaric, yet he was very well aware of the benefits of surviving conflict, as his buddy Son Gokuu the Monkey King would concur.
"Half the problem comes from the fact he needs his conflicts to grow strong and survive, that's true, Ares.." contemplated Athena, the never marrying Goddess of Strategy and Wisdom. The grey eyed Goddess was reputed to be a prude, but gave it the mocking laugh in her every daily deed. She knew well how opinions clouded realities from this, so she listened to Ares and judged his notions on their own merits, not the source. "The problem in full is that the earlier conflicts that set him on the path to supremacy are also the ones that soured his chances with love, beyond redemption as it turned out. How to address that?"
Aphrodite (present as her duty demanded in her view, as Goddess of Love) asked "Why are we using Heimdall's Lookout?" She didn't mind standing close to her relatives, but there was a good sex session she wanted to watch soon, a Sailor Pluto sex slave training session in another reality.
Her question was answered by Psyche while the lady of the mind massaged the temples of Ares' son, the god of Terror. She maintained her efforts to ease him past his own issues as she answered "Because Toltiir isn't letting us within a mile of Mimir's well without our private kinks overcoming us and getting in deep with Kami-Sama. Haven't you noticed what happens to folks like Urd and Bast every time?"
They all winced at the very thought of some of the boners efforts to fix Ranma Saotome's life had caused various Deities to pull. The only things worse it seemed was trying to derail or sink the martial artist! Fleece was of course raking it in, and upping the challenge of a sensible way to train Ranma up without cheapening him, while actually fixing his issues with girls!
Ares thought aloud "You know, I was thinking of conflict here and at least one Ranma timeline's going to leave him a VERY satisfied man. Fleece hasn't really used any of her power, but she has us all working on useful strategems all the time, trying to beat this divine version of the Gordian Knot. And making a roadmap for her to do so, anytime she likes."
Aphrodite giggled and spoke like the ultimate Valley Girl for a reason.. Just as Athena stayed 'virginal' in order to be a sexy grey eyed wisenheimer withOUT cheating on folks like her infamous parent, Aph basically tried her damnedest to avoid being thought of as a nut-cutter. Bad enough she came to pass from the castration of Zeus' dad! Besides, as she was technically a Titan and not one of Zeus' incestuous breed, she had no intention of being pushy and reminding them of that fact. still, she thought a great deal, and could at times slip one in. Like at that point when she 'muttered' "Shame we can't have the Tendo gals trained away from bitchy ways, or trained like bitches. It'd take steady weaning into more supportive roles, and working from what he perceives and desires, so that he'd still get all the fights, but get laid one hellavalot more."
The others just blinked a bit, then shrugged it off as the love goddess' thinking better when she's just daydreaming. Exactly as Aphrodite liked. Funny, that, only my dear nephew Hercules ever saw thru it! Figures, he's the one guy harder to get laid than Ranma.. She did note the Asgardian Death goddess (who'd been walking by) turn towards her unseen by the others as they were busy watching the Tendo Dojo, then wink and show the true Gothy loveliness under that hideous half alive & half decaying facade she showed the Worlds, doubtless in recognition of one faker of another. Aphrodite just shrugged as a way to let Hela know she got the compliment without letting any others in on that knowledge.
Meanwhile, the other Gods were picking up the ball and running with it. Psyche went "This fits in with the way my realm works, I'll give you that! Start with small changes and prevent shirking away, and the effects grow with time."
Terror added "I know aversion as well as Father knows aggression." whole nodding towards Ares. "Let's see, there'll have to be safeguards against the Tendo girls getting anybody to help them, or derail Ranma's success."
Athena said "I'd say having the trainers prevent them from revealing any details as part of the training should do it, and also make sure that Ranma gets into most of the same messes, but with far better backup. I daresay Sister Dearest would love to set up rewards for good behavior. Any specifics?"
Ares spoke next. "Not bad pain nor JUST pain, but stunning dizziness and derailing of mind and spirit, ending instantly when behavior is tolerable again. Conflict as prevention, in other words."
Aphrodite went from that. "Keep it loose, less details to screw up. Rewards are for when they strive to please Ranma and advance him, in ways equal to and tolerable within the situation itself." She could get away with sounding more mature when speaking of pleasure. After all, they knew it to be her area of expertise.
Terror spoke up again. "The aversions should be emotional as well as physical. These girls are into denial of bad things, as a reflex and a fetish. Trust me, I can see it in them, from my job and all. If they feel rotten at the thought of bad behavior, they'll change beyond any social training to the contrary, just to be good. Rewards are just icing, but they'll make it unbreakable."
Athena added one last comment of her own. "I'm calling in Artemis, as she can have the proper effects added to treasures of Cologne's village, treasures the dummies (no one even had to ask who) had salvaged from their Sensei back when they sealed him into that cave. Items that may break when accidently left in between Akane's bricks when she practices right before Ranma Saotome first is slung over a panda's shoulder and into their lives.."
Psyche added "Before you go, one more stipulation. Ranma can't know about this! If he found out, he'd freak. Let them all evolve into what he hopes for them knowing what is happening, but unable to express it while he never ever learns why they're becoming his in the way he needs."
Aphrodite just hung a look on Psyche. "Okay, daughter-in-law, what brought THAT on?"
Psyche said it all in one word, a name: "P-chan."
"GEH-ECCHHH!!" The Gods chorused, Psyche included. Ryouga's antics weren't all his doing, as the girls were either VERY obtuse from their denials or simply aiding the connivance for their own reasons. It was easy to see how that rider would be useful in preventing that, and repaying a LOT of Karma incurred in a great many Ranma histories. They then looked at one another, nodded in turn, and clasped hands at the center of a ring. They were not pledged to begin the training of good mares for a wild horse.
