The Wish would provide Ranma with knowledge about his fiancee situation and the potential outcomes of pairing off with each girl.

How it did this, though, was by:

• the Brian-kun option. All over the place, from potential futures, Ranma's teenage daughters begin to appear in front of their potential mothers.
  Akane's daughter Ranko, Kasumi's daughter Tenko, Nabiki's daughter Himiko, Setsuna's daughter...etc.
  Once he chooses one, will the others will be consigned to nonexistance?
• Ranma visits each of those potential futures himself, spending one full day in each universe.
• Each of the potential brides gets a glimpse of the future as it really would be with Ranma, and not merely as they would have it be.
• Setsuna wakes up in the Tendo Dojo and finds that she can't access the Time Gates or transform to Sailor Pluto.
  The wish made Ranma the new Pluto and he can view the time gates as a result.
• some other method of accomplishment.
