Something similar could be said for her situation at the moment. She was unpacking boxes, but she had gone to voluntarily sharing where she'd been living with someone else. That meant that she wouldn't be on her own, and that she'd have to compromise on everything from positioning of furniture to decorations. Yet, the idea of doing so actually left her with a warm feeling, as it put major pavement of the new road that her life was on.
She was a married woman, after all.
A little smile curved her lips as she pulled out a picture of her sister and put it off to the side. It was left right next to a picture of his sister, and there was something right about it. They were melding their lives together, and not only did she have someone she would be with until they passed on to the next life, she was gaining all sorts of relatives, in the form of her in-laws. And there was her 'family' in the form of the other residents of the Hinata Inn, whom had been her friends, allies, and companions through some rather amazing things.
"Naru?" asked her husband as he looked up from a box of books and had to adjust his glasses as he did so. "What's the smile about?"
She gave him a mock sour look. "You have to ask? We're setting up our room together, and well... It just making me realize what we're doing."
"Putting our things together?"
"Putting our lives together."
"Same thing."
"How do you figure on that?"
"Simple. Each piece of what we're arranging is part of our lives. Depending on how we put everything, it'll decide how our room'll look for a long time," he told her with a little blush.
"Oh... I see... You know, I used to think that you were just another ronin pervert... but I'm glad that I was wrong. I'm happy to be 'Mrs. Urashima'."
Keitaro blinked back at his wife. "I thought that you said that you were going to go by your maiden name."
"Idiot. I said that in the heat of the moment. Besides, it wouldn't be so bad to be telling people I'm 'Naru Urashima', would it?"
"Absolutely not. That's something I'm never going to forget. We're married now, and it'll be forever. We'll have meals, enjoy life, and share everything."
"Yes, we will. And we'll be waking up to see each other every morning, right?"
"Uh-huh... And... Naru? Why are you turning red?"
She glanced back at him. "I just realized that we'll be sharing the... our bed."
"Sure, we... oh..."
"Yeah..."
"If you don't want to..."
"But we..."
"You might not like..."
"I certainly could like it..."
The couple gazed into each other's eyes for a long moment, blushing heavily, and making it clear to each other that while the subject was one they were shy about, when it finally came down to it, they really wouldn't mind dealing with that part of married life at all.
"So..," she began.
"So..."
"Do you..."
"Huh? You want to..."
"It's our first day living together... And I am your wife..."
"It is a really nice moment..," he murmured as they crawled to each other, coming closer and closer to kissing, and at the very least cuddling.
"Hmm... Well... I suppose that I could let you..."
"That'd be nice of you..."
"I'm glad that you think so..."
"Me too. And I think that..."
In the manner of many moments of their lives, something, this time, in the form of rather large booming sound on the grounds, interrupted them.
"I should check that out," he finished lamely.
She sighed, and fought the urge to hang her head, while:
