Alex, Sam, and Clover were goners....
As their consolation, they would go out as heroes heroines....
Aboard the WOOHP spacejet, Sam tapped the oxygen gauge in front of her on the control panel from her seat with her gloved finger. "Three percent left, guys." she reported sadly, her teeth chattering from cold. The ship's internal power system gave out hours ago and with it went the cabin's heating system. In spite of herself, Alex, and Clover wearing spacesuits from the neck down, it was pretty close to freezing inside the cabin as the heat inside radiated inexorably away into space....
"Alex, Sam, it's been nice knowing 'ya." Clover noted, shivering in her seat behind Sam on one side of the cabin.
"S-same here." Alex added, from her seat opposite Clover on the other side of the cabin.
Later....
Drowsy from the cold and lack of oxygen, Sam watched the needle on the O2 gauge drop to 0.
As her field of vision darkened, she thought to herself: What a wonderful life we three had....Well, at least we were able to save the Earth from certain destruction....So sleepy....Komm Susser Tod....
Just as everything went black...it got a lot brighter....
"Wakey wakey, eggs and baky!" sounded a chipper, upbeat adolescent female voice.
"That is the last time I let you watch both of those films, Pipsqueak." groused a second, mature female voice in a sultry, smoldering fashion.
"Now is not the time to squabble, you two." admonished a third mature, female voice with velvet sternness. "We are here on official business."
Hearing the sounds of voices behind them, Alex, Sam, and Clover swiveled around in their chairs and gasped at the sight they saw.
Standing in the middle of the floor of the cabin were three young women with odd blue facial markings and dressed in ornate, flowing clothing.
"W-who are you?" asked Sam, shaken at the sight. Was she hallucinating?...or beyond even that!?...
One of the three young women introduced herself to the three WOOHP agents: "My name is Belldandy and these are my two sisters Urd and Skuld."
Clover was equally stunned as well. "Oookay, so what brings you three here to meet us?" she asked absently.
"You three have found favor with our Father." Belldandy pronounced solemnly. "We are here to reward you three with a wish."
"Is that so?" Alex piped in absently. A moment later she sighed and added dreamily: "I wish Sam, Clover, and I could trade places with you three."
An instant later, 3 beams of light pierced the spacejet cabin and struck Belldandy, Urd, and Skuld on their foreheads. "Wish granted." they said in unison, as they levitated off the floor of the cabin....
Simultaneously, with the sound of a rushing wind, a hole opened up in the floor of the cabin....
A moment after that, everything went white....
