“So Logan, What is it that you want that you made me move SHIELD Headquarters from over New York where it belongs, to over Boston?” Fury groused.
Logan smiled and set the cigar in the ashtray still burning and looked over the room. It took two seconds to see where the picture of Fury, Steve Rogers, and him stood overlooking Paris in WWII. It took two more seconds to find the pictures that either had him added or deleted and as he came across each photo he told Fury which was which and for a couple how right they were.
Fury paused “So Logan how much do you remember?” “All of it” was the reply. “So what do you want?” Fury asked quietly. “I’m calling in some old chips from all our ol' poker games. Take the biggest favor I have left and I want you to run a list of names and dates against one of your damn computers and see if any of the name and yes they are all female gave birth. And then run it forward to present day. Some of them will be hard the list goes back a ways. And then run the names and this blood sample.” A dull clink sounded as a glass tube was placed on the desk. “And get me a list of possibilities. And then run the sample against the whole of the Langley data base and get me the list of matches.” Logan took a deep breath and closed his eyes.
Picked up the cigar and took a puff and then care fully from his pocket took a manila folder and placed it next to the vial. Fury paused and opened the folder. His one good eye lifted. “Some of these go back to far for the computers.” Fury said. “That’s why the general cheek.” was Logan’s reply.
Fury nodded slowly putting the list back in it’s folder and looked at the man across from him. “Why?” “The X-men are gone. Heather’s dead. I need a family. So why not the one of my blood?” Was Logan’s gruff reply.
Fury nodded and thought. “Give me two weeks I’ll have the information and family tree then. OK?” “Good enough.” Came the reply as the small man put out the cigar and headed out the door.
