It was because Happosai favored it in his youth.
Shortly after leaving China in his youth, he endeavored to create his own magical spring based on his examination of Jhusenkyou. While he had no desire for a pool based on drowning, he did perfect a pool designed to strengthen the source of his power. Mount Terror was home of the dreaded Japanese Hentainiichuan.
Being disciples of Happosai, the Tendo and Saotome families knew of the myriad training sites on the mountain conveniently situated near a town just off the rail line to Tokyo. But Happosai had guarded his secret carefully, never mentioning his magic spring.
The wild life in the area was quite active. Although a closer observer might remark how many of them looked both tired, and skittish. Almost as if they were expecting to be jumped at any time.
This Sunday the mountain was home to a wide cross-section of Martial artists. There was the Tendo Contingent, consisting of Soun, Genma, Akane, and Ryouga in piglet form. The Amazon Contingent consisted of Shampoo and Mousse, Cologne stayed home to manage the store. There was the Kuonji Contingent, Ukyou and Konatsu. And finally the Kuno Disaster; Tatewaki, Kodachi, and Sasuke.
All of them were searching for the elusive pig-tailed jock. A rare migratory species suspected of inhabiting these parts; known for its mating cry, "uncute tomboy." Unfortunately, Mt. Terror is quite large, and its population of pig-tailed jocks at that time was known to be zero.
The various hunting parties managed to avoid each other for the most part. There were, of course the occasional groping of Akane by Tatewaki, punished by violence; and the volleys of insults between Akane and Shampoo; but for the most part the trip was uneventful until dinnertime.
The fathers returned to their campsite to find Akane cooking. Promising to return when the food was done, the two liars pretended to go back to looking for Ranma, with a few more injuries than they had upon approaching the camp site.
But Ukyou had set up her camp upwind of the others, near a supply of fresh spring water. And as dinner time rolled around, everyone could smell the wonderful scents of cooking Okonomiyaki. Now, Ukyou had no obligation to feed the hungry masses, but to her okonomiyaki was more of a sacred duty; a gospel that needed to be shared. So when everyone came to visit her site, she had at least one okonomiyaki for each of them.
The only two not there were Akane and her pig. When she deemed her wild parsnips and acorn surprise hot-pot was finished, she eagerly fed it to her piglet, which unfortunately lacked the constitution of his human form, and quickly turned quite green. Panicking, Akane grabbed him and ran to the gathering screaming for aid for her pet.
After a few spoonfuls of serum of ipecac, and bicarbonate washed down with spring water, P-chan was his old self, resting in the lap of his mistress, Akane. But the harsh and accurate assessment of these events left Akane in a sulk, and while she didn't leave the gathering, she refused all offers of food, claiming there was a perfectly fine feast waiting for her at their site.
It wasn't until 20 minutes later that the first of the victims reacted to the magic in the water. The diminutive P-chan was the first affected. While sitting in Akane's lap, he noticed an interesting scent, and like a pig digging for truffles, found himself rooting with his snout the crotch of Akane's hiking shorts.
"P-chan! Stop that!" Akane insisted, as P-chan's hoof cleverly caught her short's zipper and pulled it down. When Akane pulled P-chan out of her lap, P-chan managed to pop the button keeping her shorts closed.
Now Akane was in a bit of a problem, holding a struggling pig away from her while her pants were open. If she stood up, they might even fall down, and would definitely expose the front of her panties to the gathered audience. If she released her pet, he'd go back to his bizarre behavior, which would be even more embarrassing due to the open fly where P-chan was trying to burrow.
While the others had started to feel the effects of the magic water, only one of them was so inclined not to fight its effects, so with Akane holding her arms straight out do support the struggling pig, Tatewaki hugged her from behind, squeezing both of her breasts.
Forgetting everything in her desire to pound the pervert, she leapt to her feet, dropping P-chan to pound the pervert! But no sooner than she had started to lay an almighty smack down, but there was a small pig crawling into her shorts, and nuzzling her panties in a most inappropriate manner.

Akane managed to free herself from her shorts, but not before Kodachi's ribbon lashed out at both sides of her hips, severing the cloth of her panties on both sides.
Her sense of embarrassment and outrage turned to fear and disgust when she heard her father say, "Her c*** looks just like her mother's. We also ran naked through these woods the night Kasumi was conceived!"
Having Mooned Tatewaki, and flashed her pussy at the rest of the gathering, Akane fled for her campsite and a change of clothes. Less than a second later, the chase was on.
