Gundam Seed - After War: Introduction of the Dagger L [Episode 139244]

by Yasanagi

"I beg your pardon, sir? You want us to increase Strike Dagger production by sixty percent?!? But that's technically impossible with the resources at this facility!" exclaimed Sam, the manager of one of the Strike Dagger facilities located in the heart of Atlantic Federation territory.

"There's no other option! ZAFT is still way ahead of us in terms of mass mobile suit production. We have to find a way to level the field. By the way, has there been any progress in installing electromagnetic pulse shielding in the Daggers?" asked Mr. Reynald.

"Unfortunately not, sir. If we attempt to install EMP shielding, we'll have to compromise other key systems such as weapons and propulsion. My guys have some ideas on how to do it but it's going to take at least six months to lay down the basic groundwork," replied Sam.

The Blue Cosmos councilman sighed in exasperation. "Do you have any bloody good news to tell me?!?"

"Well, my team did come up with a new mass production design a few months ago after the Strike Dagger was introduced." Sam showed Mr. Reynalds to a computer and opened up a blueprint. "The GAT-02L2 Dagger L."

"Looks impressive. How is it different from the standard Strike Dagger?" asked Mr. Reynald.

Sam went into his presentation. "The Dagger L has double the number of beam sabres and vulcan guns. The guys were also able to design two 'Stiletto' anti-armor penetrators that are stored in the hips. These are based off of the 'Armour Schneider' combat knives used by the X-105 Strike. The Dagger L's design allows it to use its own version of the Striker packs built for the X-105 Strike."

"I must say that this is quite a piece of excellent work here, Sam."

"The Dagger L's main weapon is an M703K beam carbine but it can also use an Mk39 low-recoil cannon. And lemme show you the two packs that my group came up with." Sam clicked on another set of blueprints. "The AQM/E-M11 Doppelhorn Striker pack. With this pack, the Dagger L essentially wields a large dual recoilless cannon capable of dealing great damage to a battleship or a mobile suit. Or perhaps even one of the PLANTs."

Mr. Reynald's eyes lit up. "I presume you have other Striker packs?"

"One more, sir. The AQM/E-A4E1 Jet Striker pack." Another set of blueprints came up. "Aside from allowing for atmospheric flight, the Jet Striker pack features numerous launchers for rockets, air-to-surface and air-to-air missiles."

"How soon can you begin producing these units?" asked Mr. Reynald eagerly.

"It would take at least a few weeks to remodify our assembly lines for the Dagger L but I believe we can initiate mass production by late November at the latest, sir."

"Very well. Begin production as soon as you can and send the blueprints to the Earth Alliance head office so they can order all other facilities to begin constructing Dagger L units." Mr. Reynald paused before smiling. "Good work, Sam. And please relay my appreciation over to your men."

"Don't worry, sir. We're all happy to do what we can for the preservation of a blue and pure world."

'Must...hide!!' Kou turned around briefly to see Yzak still behind him, charging like a mad bull. He then slammed into someone and fell down to the ground with his head in between a girl's breasts. 'Aw, shit!!'

"Now I got you!!" Yzak stretched out to prepare to choke the hell out of Kou. The smaller Coordinator gasped before rolling out of the way in time, causing Yzak to get nothing...but breast.

The girl on the ground quickly regained her senses and narrowed her eyes at the silver-haired Coordinator. "You..." Yzak paused. That girl sounded an awful lot like Lacus Clyne but if he recalled correctly, she and Kira had left earlier to meet with Reverend Malchio. Come to think of it, she looked like a splitting image of Lacus, save for the bust. Speaking of bust, Yzak realized just where his left hand was resting. Uh oh...

"PERVERT!!!!!!!" *SLAP*
