Heir of the School: School's Out, School's Out [Episode 139632]

by Sunhawk

Ranma blinked at the clock in the classroom and stifled a yawn. Another boring (and wasted) day at school. Yeah, sure, sometimes it was kinda interesting; he liked some of the history stuff, for example. But that was it. He didn't see why he had to go, anyway. It wasn't like he needed to know all this stuff to practice the art... the old lech seemed to do just fine, anyway, so he could teach him anything he needed to know.

In fact, sometimes he taught him stuff he DIDN'T need to know, like a dozen different ways to take a pair of panties off a woman. It was fun to watch Happosai do it (and the ensuing outraged chase), and he conceded that dodging those outraged (and unpredictable) blows was great agility practice. And he'd even admit (to himself) that he'd begun to rather enjoy the sight. But there were more effective ways to practice dodging... not to mention ways less likely to cause... problems.

Besides, with all of his teacher's talk of women, their soft bodies, bountiful charms, and a whole pile of what he called "instructional materials", there was one point he'd never quite dared to bring up. If you pissed off everything female around by snatching panties and bras, then how were you supposed to practice those OTHER techniques?

And that brought him to the other reason Happosai had encouraged (coerced) him into attending school. Supposedly, he was supposed to learn how to seduce girls, or something like that. While the idea was rather... attractive... on some level, well, he thought there was a catch somewhere in there just waiting to bite him in the ass. After all, that seemed to be one of his sadistic sensei's little games... find ways to land Ranma in deep water and laugh as he struggled to get out of it. Or his humiliating little jokes... like the Octopus Incident.

He shuddered at the memory that thought brought up. He'd never been able to eat takoyaki after that. Ergh.

Still, he'd been thinking about this for a couple weeks now, and he couldn't see the catch. So perhaps there wasn't one. He knew that Happosai considered it important enough that he "awaken the slumbering beast within" (whatever he meant by that vague reference) in order to use the more advanced maneuvers in Anything Goes, so maybe there wasn't a hidden hook this time.

Sure, and that's what he'd told himself last time, less than a week ago, and he'd spent three hours running from that guy with a baseball bat. "Wouldn't hurt", ha! He still had a few lingering bruises from that little episode.

And it hadn't helped that his oh-so-helpful teacher was rolling around the ground with laughter. Old bastard! One of these days... one of these days... maybe he could take some of Happosai's precious "silky darlings" and --

Ranma was interrupted from his thoughts of sweet revenge by the ringing of the bell, and he rushed out the door. School was out, and he'd be damned if he spent a second more here when he could be doing something more fun. He jerked to the side to avoid hitting Hitomi on the way out, blurting an apology as he hurried past. Nice girl, Hitomi; he'd seen her when he was watching the track team once, and she could run pretty fast.

As he exited the building, he slowed down. He was feeling kind of hungry, and he thought he had time to grab a quick bite to eat before Happosai expected him back. He'd even been given some money yesterday. It was kind of odd, now that he thought about it. When he'd been traveling with his Pop, he remembered them both (well, usually him) having to do various things to get money, or his father would disappear for a while, then come back with some cash (and food, usually). But Happosai just seemed to have it, and he'd give Ranma some every once in a while for food and other stuff.

He stopped in front of a small noodle stand and looked over the menu. What to have, what to have...

A hand tapped him on the shoulder, a voice clearing a throat to get his attention.
