World Watching: These saints aren't christians. That's for sure ! [Episode 14000]

by Jamil Nate

Uranus and Neptune had recently awakened and reunited when they were confronted to a huge crisis. Sailor Moon and the inner senshi were in the future, fighting the black moon family, and unable to help. The two outers decided to intervene and traced the source of the troubles in the japanese wilderness.

The huge greek-style temple that had sprung out overnight had been a dead give-away that something unusual was going on. Not to mention the worldwide surge of natural disasters threatening Earth and Humanity.

They went in and ended up in a war between boys and men wearing strange armors and wielding destructive powers. Those 'saints', as they called themselves, were proclaiming to be the soldiers of the greek gods fighting a holy war. The head honcho, Abel, had apparently killed his sister Athena and was preparing to destroy the world...

Uranus and Neptune had blazed in, taking advantage of the fights to strike at wounded or vulnerable saints, whatever deity they served. These tactics worked for the most part but it ended quickly when they got to the main temple's entrance.

A lone saint stood in their way, Atlas of Carina, the most powerful of Abel's warriors... Uranus and Neptune charged, intending to double-team him. It was futile. No matter how hard they tried, he was simply faster, stronger and more powerful than the two of them combined. They were still alive today only because Athena's saints had dragged themselves to the temple and Atlas hadn't time to lose with 'foolish little girls way in over their heads' as he put it.

They managed to escape the self-destructing temple later when Seiya killed Abel with the Saggitarius' gold arrow.

The power displayed by the saints, the possibility that other greek gods were out there with such servants and their humiliation at the hands of the only saint they fought head on without surprise on their side had them cataloguing them as major threats. They also swallowed their pride and prepared to contact the inners. This was a menace worse than the Dark Kingdom and the Black Moon combined and only a united front of the sailor senshis could hope to stop the saints...

And while Uranus and Neptune made plans, Saori Kido, Athena's current human incarnation on Earth, had used the Graad foundation's extensive resources and information networks to dig up as much data on the sailor senshi as she could.

"Let's see... The sailor senshi are vigilantes operating mainly in the Juuban area of Tokyo, fighting against monsters. Each one is named after a planet of the solar system and have powers derived from an element. They're all young girls and loudly proclaim to fight for love and justice. They are frequently assisted by a male vigilante known as Tuxedo Kamen... By the gods of olympus, what a silly get-up !" She shook her head in amusement then continued "There are five sailor senshi by order of apparition : Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and Venus. it is likely that their predecessor Sailor V is Venus"

Tatsumi, her grandfather's trusted servant, listened intently "Well, we can add Uranus and Neptune to the list. It is likely that there are senshis for Saturn and Pluto as well. What are we going to do, Saori-sama ? They treacherously attacked your saints without provocation !"

Saori stared out of the window at the rain pouring outside "I know, Tatsumi. They are a possible threat... I think we will..."
