Nabiki held Ranma in her arms. She had her eyes closed to hide the tears from her. All this time, she had loved her. She had simply been blind of it herself.
"Why, Ranma?" she said to Ranma, "Why were you so stupid? How could you kill yourself like this? And for me? I am nothing but a selfish little girl, who has cared about nothing since my mother died. I became jealous and bitter of those around me. You were the first person to take a blind eye and see me as the hurt girl I was. How could you leave me like this?"
The tears were practically pouring from her face. How could she save Ranma. She suddenly felt a hand on her shoulder. Looking up to see Kasumi.
"Why, Kasumi, why did she give up her life for me? Me, of all people? I was down right mean to her a lot of times. I summoned her and tried to get her to do my bidding. This girl is a succubus, Kasumi. A spirit of sex and she gave up her entire life for me. A spirit doesn't die like we do, Kasumi. This is it for her. She won't go to heaven, hell or any such place," Nabiki cried, laying her head on Ranma's shoulder as the tears went down her face onto Ranma's chest.
"Shh," Kasumi said, taking her sister into a hug. Kasumi didn't know who or what exactly this strange girl was, but apparently she meant a lot to her sister. Kasumi whispered a silent prayer to god to look with favor on their savior.
Suddenly, light started to come from the girl, Ranma. It surrounded her in a floating sort of orb of light. Then both girls had to look away as the light grew to a blinding radiance. It the distance Kasumi could hear a church bell being rung.
Ranma awoke as the light around her seemed to be evaporating around her. She looked at Nabiki with the tears in her eyes. She remembers the last words that Nabiki had said to her. When their eyes met, they ran into each other's arms in an embrace. Then Ranma's new additions also wrapped around Nabiki. To white feathered wings.
Kasumi said with a tear of happiness in her eyes, "Nabiki, Ranma isn't a succubus, like you said sister, your Ranma is an angel. She has just got her wings."
