That was what the imposter counted upon, and she smiled nastily as she approached well appointed cell where she kept a special prisoner. "I hope that you are well."
"I am as well as can be expected," the woman inside the cell replied. "But you have to know that you can't keep this up forever."
"So you'd like to think. However, your plan of creating peace and good will shall be going away soon enough."
"What do you mean?"
"This is not the sweet and hopeful world that you have always prattled on about. It's winner take all, and the strongest always wins."
"There are better ways..."
"Your ways, you mean. Sorry, but you get relegated to this cell while those with true strength take over and make everything as it should be."
"You can't do that," the prisoner cried out.
"I've already started. Soon, with all the gangs fighting and the warlords growing powerful, your foolish dream will fall by the wayside, while force makes everything have order."
"That's something that you won't be able to do. People will stop you."
"'People' meaning that favored girl of yours? Pheh. She's been one of my best weapons in culling away the herds of pathetic fools without real power," the imposter sneered. "In fact, she's managed to get quite the bounty on her head."
"She wouldn't do that!"
"She's had no say in the matter. And she's gone a step further than I planned on."
"How?"
"That smiling little girl is looking for Vash the Stampede. I don't know why, as she's not even telling her travelling companion. Now, if she can't trust him, then why do you suppose that she'd be going out in search of the 'Ultimate Enlightened'?"
The 'guest' merely looked down at the floor, but didn't see it as her mind whirled with memories of both of the mentioned individuals.
"Silence is not what I want."
"But I can not give you answers."
"You will!" 'Tenshi' snarled, "Why would she seek him out? TELL ME!"
"I can't. I don't know why myself."
"Really... Is that so? Well, you can know this. She will be useful in creating the world of my dreams. Your little believer will be the cause of battles, feuds and wars, and everything that you are against. And then you will see your hopes and desires for the future fall to the ground with the ashes of those you failed," the imposter muttered nastily, and then strode away, with the hallway as quiet as when she'd first come.
And that left the woman in the cell sobbing as she realized just how much pain was being caused as she could do nothing, while:
