Usagi's New World: Haruka on loosing [Episode 140499]

Haruka sat in the racecar, a stunned expression on her face. Through the windshield she could see Daisuke exchanging high-fives with the pit crew. Her eyes shifted to the dashboard of her car as her hands tightened their grip on the wheel.

'How the hell did this happen?!' she thought to herself. She closed her eyes and began replaying the race in her head. She frowned as she recalled the momentary hesitation at the dropping of the starting flag. 'That one was my fault for thinking too much of how nice it would be to have a personal chef'

Haruka's mind drifted forward, pausing the third fifth and eighth times she shifted gears. 'Damn, my timing was off.'

She opened her eyes and glanced at Daisuke, then sighed and closed her eyes and dropped her head.. 'Damn, even with those mistakes I should have beaten him by a few seconds. Lucky idiot must have had one of those one in a hundred moments when things just click.'

"Hey, Haruka!"

Haruka blinked, and opened her eyes, looking forward to see Daisuke leaning against the side of her car, a big smirk on his face. Raising her hands, she unbuckled her helmet and pulled it off, dropping it into the passenger seat.

"Congratulations, Daisuke." Haruka said in a droll tone. "That's gotta be the luckiest race anyone's ever run."

"Now don't be sore, gal." Daisuke responded in a confident tone she seldom heard from the racer. "That win was pure skill."

Haruka twisted sideways and pulled herself through the window. Sitting on the door she looked down at Daisuke. "You're drastically overestimating yourself if you think beating me is anything but a one in a million fluke."

"What you wanna go back on our little bet?" Daisuke responded in a challenging tone of voice.

"I always keep my word." Haruka responded with a frown as she pulled herself the rest of the way out of the car. "I'm just saying that this race wasn't an accurate judge of our relative skills."

"Are you challenging me to a rematch?" Daisuke asked with a confident look on his face.

"Are you man enough to accept one?" Haruka responded with a half sneer.

Daisuke looked her in the eye. "I'm confident that I can win one, but why should I? You've already agreed to step off the track and cheer for me from the sidelines?"

Haruka scowled, gazing balefully at Daisuke. Daisuke confidently met her gaze. In the back of her mind, Haruka suddenly noticed that her body was feeling extremely aroused, but pushed that fact aside.
