"Oh, come off it Kuno," Ranma said, negligently. Then came the flash of power that struck down into the Earth where he had been standing.
Ranma frowned and took a careful stance. Apparently Kuno had gotten a hold of some new technique yet again, and Ranma would have to take him seriously until he learned the secret weakness of THIS technique.
"You dare mock the Blue Thunder?" Kuno declared, he slashed outward and a crackling blast of electricity rippled out from his arm and bokken and rippled over Ranma.
Ranma roared out in pain, muscles spasming as the electricity passed over him. He stumbled back and valiantly caught his breath as he pondered why he could absorb the attack as he could most chi attacks.
"It ain't chi," Ranma realized, leaping up in time to barely avoid another blast.
He lashed outward with a fist and briefly, upon contact, felt the electricity course up his arm. The strength was not near that which nearly tumbled him before, but it was enough to make him pause in considering a direct attack upon Kuno.
"Now your sorceries tricks and spells are all undone before my holy might, demon-caller," Kuno declared. Another blast of electricity nearly clipped Ranma's flesh, singing the hair of his pig-tail.
"Akane, get back!" Ranma called out.
"Akane Tendo? My glorious love is here?" Kuno declared and turned about to seek in the direction Ranma had called. Indeed he caught sight of Akane hurrying toward the field of battle, and then he saw darkness as something slammed into the back of his head.
He didn't see the chunk of pavement that knocked him unconscious.
"Damn," Ranma muttered. "Had to use a cheap trick to beat him." He frowned and started analyzing the battle and the energy Kuno had been using, seeking any counter for further competitions.
"Ranma!" Akane called out. "Are you okay?"
"I think so," Ranma said, then the adrenalin wore out and he collapsed to his knees. ~Point one...NEVER LET HIM HIT YOU WITH THAT STUFF AGAIN!!~
"Ranma!" Akane called out before picking up the half-conscious martial artist and EASILY lifting him and taking him to the nurse's office.
~When did Akane get so strong?~ Ranma wondered.
