Of the Stargate personnel, several had altered significantly. Unfortunately, some of the types had several different terms used to describe them - everything was still up in the air as regarded such details.
General Hammond was a Three-eyed, or Psychic, or Esper. He looked mainly the same, with a third eye in his forehead. An eye that mostly remained shut. When it opened he could see far more than was normally glimpsed. There were a scattering of others of this type amongst the personnel of SGC, though it was even rarer than the Cyborg contingent.
Jack O'Neil was an Elf. His long, fine, even silky, hair did not conceal the long points of his ears. He was otherwise completely recognizable. There were quite a few other elves scattered through the ranks, trying to figure out what had happened to them.
Colonel Makepeace and roughly half of the Marines had become Ogres. They'd grown taller, muscle mass had been increased, and bone thickness and flexibility upped. Their strength and stamina were literally superhuman though not quite up to the newly changed Teal'c.
Teal'c was a Cyborg. While still human looking for the most part, he had a blending of organic and nanotechnological mechanisms that literally made him a human tank. There were twenty Marines who'd ended up going this route to differing degrees. Copies of "Robocop" and other movies were being avidly watched and discussed by this group.
A number of the troops had become Dogboys. Though Wolfen was becoming more commonly used, particularly by those transformed. Daniel Jackson had joined this crowd.
"Here's a list of Gate addresses we need to avoid," said General Hammond, handing a sheet of paper to Technician Harriman. "See that these are locked out of the dialing computer."
"Wait a minute, where did those come from?" asked Samantha Carter, still reeling from recent events.
"That's a silly question, Captain," said Jack. "He's a Psychic type. Clearly there's someone out there with precog."
"That there is," agreed General Hammond. "We're also having to develop a network of those with esper abilities so as to shroud SGC from psychics from other countries."
"This must be shaking up the Intelligence community a lot," said Captain Carter.
"Actually, I doubt it," said Jack. "Most likely it's just adding a couple of layers."
"I see," said the Captain.
"Unfortunately, most Talents of this sort are limited in range or in scope," said the General. "These addresses constitute threats to the world in that contact with them could constitute a threat to our survival. Those addresses which have personal danger to the SGC teams themselves couldn't be determined. Of course, we're still discovering aspects of the changes and whether or not there is alien involvement."
"I don't see how there could not be," said Daniel, his ears flicking back and forth unconsciously.
"As it is, we can't send anyone through the Stargate until we determine that the disease is no longer communicable," said General Hammond. "UAVs and MALPs are another story - those can be sterilized pretty thoroughly."
Captain Carter was about to ask why when Jack spoke.
"Ah, so we're compiling a database of sites to explore more thoroughly when it's been determined to be safe," said Jack, nodding and seeming to think this was obvious. "So where are you sending this one?"
