Nodoka Saotome, while listening to her manly son's girls talk about this bond thing, had deduced that such a bond existed between her and her Ryuu-chan. She could feel in a part of her soul his fear (she would have to break him out of it, young men these days were such prudes), his tension in battle and his pain... Wait a minute ! Pain !?
Standing up with new resolve, she left the girls at their little Kuno-bashing and headed for the dojo. That's where he was, she just knew it.
She opened the doors with a crash and frowned at the spectacle. Ryuu was here, all right, and had gotten in a fight with Ranma. Judging by the state of the dojo, they had gone full out and the Saotome forbidden techniques had come out of their seals. The two boys were staring at each other, bruised and panting. Her son probably thought he was defending her mother's honor. It was nice of him, really, but she couldn't let this continue further.
"Ranma ! Stop beating up your future step-father at once !" The words boomed in the Tendo dojo and stopped the two boys in their tracks. Their faces went blank and their reaction was utter surprise "HUH !?!"
They got their wits back and exploded "Mom ! You can't do this ! What about Pops !" "ARGH ! She's found me again ! Bye !" "Oh no, you don't !" *grab* "Let me go, Saotome !" "Thank you, son. Ryuu-chan, we have to talk" "I don't like the sound of this..." "You bastard !" "Now, boys... Play nice or..." *sound of katana being unsheated* "EEEP !!! Yes Ma'am !!!" in stereo.
The 'look' and the mainly unwrapped katana convinced them to stop and listen to her. They were now sitting in the dojo, glaring at each other while Nodoka gathered her thoughts at how to better explain the situation.
"Ranma, you know you have some sort of an emotional bond with the girls you've been manly with" Ranma nodded "Well, I have the same kind of bond with Ryuu-chan here" Ryuu blinked, concentrated and blushed red at the feelings he got from Nodoka "Later, dear, later" She admonished him.
"For all we know, this is permanent. Such a tie between the two of us will poison and destroy my marriage with Genma. Not to mention all his crimes while raising you and the high probability he had already cheated on me now and bonded to another woman, it is for the best that I divorce him as soon as possible"
"Mom... It's not Pops' fault, you know... It's that flu. You can't..." Ranma was upset. His parents had only recently found each other again and he got a family, dysfunctional but a family nonetheless. To throw it away like that... "You can't marry Ryuu ! He's too young ! I can't have a father my age !"
"Son, it is a matter of honor now. I can and will marry Ryuu-chan. He is the father of our child after all..." Ryuu eeped and fainted. Ranma froze in shock "You're p... p... p... p..."
Nodoka smiled "Yes, Ranma. I'm pregnant. You're going to be a brother... and a father too. How manly of you to give me grandchilddren with all these girls !"
THIS fried the pig-tailed boy's brain "Me !?! Father ? ALL OF THEM !!?" Ranma Saotome, kickass martial artist, decided to take a breather to contemplate the news and joined his future step-father in unconsciousness.
"They've been overcome by joy, it would seem" Nodoka's eyes glinted with mischief and she picked up Ryuu "Now to find a room and celebrate our impending marriage !" She took off in the Tendo house, leaving Ranma alone to cool off.
