She had to protect Himeko, and that was more important than anything else. The very idea that anyone could hurt the sweetness and light that was incarnated in the blonde was completely unpalatable by the rich girl, and she was going to do everything in her power to make certain that she could, and would, protect the one that she cared so much for.
Of course, given their situation, and her current lack of arrows, that might be a problem.
"Um... Chikane," whispered Himeko.
The other girl spared a soft glance for her companion. "Yes?"
"I'm sorry that our walk had to be ruined like this..."
"It's not your fault."
"I know... I just wanted to let you relax, and walking under the stars seemed like a good idea..."
"It was."
Sighing happily, the blonde smiled. "I'm glad."
At that moment, the rich girl felt more than ever that she would always have her mission to defend Himeko no matter what happened. If nothing else, she never wanted to see that smile fall. And she was going to do whatever she could to preserve it.
Even if she had to take this attack herself.
"Chikane!"
"I'll..."
"Hold it!" called out a new voice.
Both girls, and their attack froze in position before turning to see a new blonde girl, wearing what looked like an abbreviated cross between a school uniform and a cheerleader outfit, standing on an outcropping and posing.
"Friendship is a beautiful thing! Girls who are friends should be allowed to walk together wherever they want, and not be bothered by mean people who'd attack them!" the new girl declared, "For love and justice, I am the pretty sailor-suited soldier Sailor Moon! In the name of the moon, I will punish you!"
"The 'name of the moon'?" Himeko parroted with a blink, "'Sailor Moon'?"
"Huh? What about it?"
"She's the Priestess of the Sun. I'm the Priestess of the Moon," Chikane told the newcomer.
"You are?"
"Yes, we are, and if you'll listen to reason, you should stop playing around, and get out of here before you get hurt playing 'magical girl'."
"She's not playing," inserted a very serious sounding voice as a cat leapt out to face the Priestesses. "She is the Senshi of the Moon... Though there wasn't one back then."
"Oh, and so what does that mean?"
"It means that if you're who you say you are, you should treat her differently."
"Why is that?" the blue haired girl asked, wondering if her shock at seeing a cat talk was enough to keep her this calm.
"Because even though she's taken up the mantle of a Senshi, she's really the Princess of the Moon Kingdom."
"What?" both Priestesses whispered.
The cat smiled. "I am Luna, Queen Serenity's advisor back during the time on the Moon, and now her daughter's."
"'Nag' is more like it," Sailor Moon groused while:
