Brianna's life was both short and long, with the memories of her two sister's first 24 or 23 years of life hanging in the back of her mind. However, this was not a glimpse of Gina and Britanny that was being given, this was a glimpse of Brianna.
And what the contact showed Ranma of Brianna was a young woman with a severe inferiority complex that would do anything she could to help her friends and family. It showed Ranma the fear Brianna had of herself, of the chance that her Grave Digger persona might again arise to haunt her life, and that reminded Ranma of his own fear of the neko-ken.
It showed the mixed pain and joy Brianna felt as Britanny had married stripe. And the lesser the pain Brianna felt as her former lover Genn became a friend, though that pain was quickly overshadowed by the joy of having a friend that was hers and not just someone that she tagged-along with like with her sister's friends.
It showed the fevered pride and necessity to prove herself with all her various inventions, a pride that Ranma could easily compare to his near obsession with martial arts.
It showed all this to Ranma, as it showed to Brianna Ranma's own shaky confidence and his dismay at having been treated like a prize or piece of barter all his life.
Then showed her his pride in his martial arts abilities, and his fear of his neko-ken. It showed the blow to his ego that had come with the Jusenkyo curse and it showed how Ranma had slowly come to terms with that curse.
It showed his affection for Akane, until her thoughtless nature imposed this curse upon them all and twisted her into something dark and evil. And it showed his hope that all his enemies and fiancees could perhaps find some way to be happy and just leave him alone.
It showed all this to both of them, and then time started again, and while they still understood much about each other, the details of the other's life were taken from their minds...all the better for those romantic discussions to have later.
And it was at this time, as they gazed with nervous affection into each other's eyes, that....
