Setsuna's Fault: AC Plug Into DC Outlet [Episode 144824]

"That would be like trying to hook a British VCR up to a Japanese TV and use that system to play holodramas from Eridani XII. The systems are not compatible," Serenity replied.

All of the Senshi stared at the tiny image.

"What?"

"I thought that you... well... at the end of the Kingdom...." Mars tried to get out.

"Well... I did. And I am."

"Then how do you know about all that stuff," Venus asked, wincing slightly as she was obviously afraid of offending the queen.

"Dear one, you do realize that my spirit's been around for all this time. I have been keeping my eyes open for much of the time," the miniature queen replied. "I did wonder what it would be like to take time off from time to time, but now I have way too much time on my hands."

"Oh? What do you do?"

"Watch over you girls, mostly. Though I do have time to enjoy myself, what with things like television. Those soap operas can be very involving."

Jupiter frowned slightly. "But what about those hologram things from... that place."

"They... Oh, yes. I forgot. You girls lost a lot when I had to send you forward. Let's just say that the universe was a smaller place then...."

"Ummm... Excuse me?" Mercury broke in, her tone very apologetic. "I'm sorry, but I really think that we should get to the important part of what you said."

"What's that?" Saturn asked.

"About the 'systems not being compatible'."

Serenity nodded. "That's because they weren't originally part of being Senshi. You see, your powers come naturally, in a way. But the Ginzuishou is something that can be used with Senshi powers, or others. And the Time Gate wasn't created as part of Pluto's powers. She was charged with guarding it, and was given certain... advantages in it, but...."

"You didn't create it."

"Exactly. It also has some really specific abilities. Someone can scan time, and go to whatever time period that they want, with some side abilities, but in the end, it is not really made to do anything more or less."

"Then are we supposed to just hang out here?" the thunder Senshi asked.

Mars gave a large sigh. "We just might have to do that. But can't we just figure out another way?"

"Maybe," the short blue haired Senshi commented. "Maybe not."

"What does that mean?"

"Well, they are not compatible. That does not mean that they can't work together."

"But you just said...."

"I know what I said, Rei, but this is different. That only comes about if we try to directly connect them. But if we could use them together, as a team, rather than as one unit...."

"We could still do it?"

"Exactly."

"Nothing could go wrong, right?" Moon asked brightly.

"It could go wrong, and if it did, it might be like having Minako trying to make a stereo with an error work."

"Hey!" blurted the named girl.

"The last time she did that, she blew up my radio," the Fire Senshi commented.

"Now think of it at the level of a high level magical artifact."

"We... would be really bad off."

"Aw man," Jupiter groaned as she rubbed the bridge of her nose. "Either we succeed, or we have a group 'Minako moment'. Great choices there."

"I didn't mean to do that!" the Senshi of Love insisted.

"Sorry, Mina-chan. It's just that you and electronics don't always work."

"It's not my fault."

"We know," Mars sighed.

"Isn't it better to have a plan than nothing at all?" the youngest Senshi asked.

"We're still trying to figure that out."

"I just want to save the guys...."

"We all do."

"Don't worry. I have faith that you girls will find a way to help in some way," Serenity told them.

The Senshi blushed under the praise, while they:
